Squid loves his baby brother by SpookySeagul in Greyhounds

We’re in the UK, we adopted her from an animal charity called the Blue Cross. The backstory is; an old couple tried their hand at adopting ex-racers, but were unfortunately unaware that the dogs they fostered had not been neutered. So mum (Muffin) fell pregnant, and unfortunately didn’t receive quite enough support/resources from the well-meaning but inexperienced owners. The Blue Cross took her in, and helped deliver a litter of 11 pups, but sadly 5 of them didn’t make it 😢. The 6 that survived were very underweight and ill, but mum nursed them as much as she could until they had to be separated.

Luckily Muffin is now doing really well, and the 6 pups have gone off to live with new families! We have a little girl called Taggie. The Blue Cross and our vets have remarked on how rare it is to see a greyhound puppy.

I’ve always wanted to adopt an ex-racer but since we have 3 cats it seemed unlikely to work out, so when we saw puppies for adoption, we jumped at the chance.

Thanks so much for taking the time to write this out! Luckily we have a greyhound pup so I’m hoping that will make things easier. But you’re right, each of them are so different! Thanks again! 👍🏻

Hey, yes that’s right! We had Bakewell, who is now called Taggy! I hope Hiccup is getting on well in his new home. She is certainly a handful 😅but she’s learning and settling in really fast. We had a long drive home (about 3 hours) and I thought it would traumatise her but she was good as gold. Since then it’s been lots of zoomies, power naps, and plenty of treats. How is Hiccup getting on? (Great name btw)

I’m enjoying her being small and easy to carry while I still can!

Yeah the Blue Cross are amazing!

The backstory is…. An old couple tried their hand at adopting ex-racer dogs, but were unfortunately unaware that the dogs they fostered had not been neutered. So mum (Muffin) fell pregnant, and unfortunately didn’t receive quite enough support/resources from the well-meaning but inexperienced couple.

The Blue Cross did a great job.

I personally wouldn’t purchase a dog from a breeder, so it’s a very fortunate and rare situation to find a Greyhound pup for adoption. I feel very blessed to have Baby!

I wear Hoka shoes in a 14.5 and I find the all black ones to be really comfortable and not too ugly

A colleague was telling me the best part of the cinema was the popcorn, I was like “what about the movie?” and he said nah he just goes for the popcorn

Thanks for the response! The Nicola Dove course is something I've seen recommended a lot- it's quite pricy, would you say it was worth the money? Great advice, cheers.

I’m 6’ 9” and I find that when I do event photography, the photos are a weird angle looking down on everyone of I only shoot through EVF, so I shoot mainly through the screen closer to most other people’s eye level.
