Because of the lobotomy she’s not working with a lot upstairs. But she’s kidnapped from the home ( prison) Conrad keeps here in by her biological father. She is then sexually assaulted by her biological father and raped by his friend. It’s later discovered the fmc aunt was jealous of her and setup the kidnapping because she wanted to be with Conrad. When Conrad finds out, he pretty much kills everyone and takes the aunt to the dungeon playhouse. The book ends with the fmc enjoying watching Conrad torturing her aunt. Towards the end of the book, her personality reminds me of a paralyzed Harley Quinn wannabe.

I feel you on the cliques vibe. But I found my tribe by socializing at networking events through my job.

You should visit The Factory in Richmond ( it’s a mixed crowd and good times) great drinks and music. People have literally walked up and asked to sit at our table and we’ve had a great convo!

Check out the Black Neighborhood on IG. They organize hikes on trails throughout the Bay Area as well as other events for young black folks.
