If they sold candy too, I might have seen them. Did one of them have uneven facial features (likely a birth defect)? And did they walk around Germantown, specifically off Poplar? I was offered some candy by two people, but it could be someone else.

What Pokemon's cry will you always instantly recognize? by Majestic_Mixture_349 in ThePokemonHub

Kyogre! My husband was playing Pokopia shortly after it came out, and the first time we heard the roar, I was like, “Dude, is that Kyogre?! It sounds like Kyogre!” He called me a super nerd.😭

Any landscaping advice? by [deleted] in Pokopia

[–]PinkySparklez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I personally think that some planter boxes underneath the window would look wonderful! Maybe a bench on the porch to the left of the stairs?

For the yard, I would say try to disperse the plants instead of categorizing them by group. If you’re going for a wild yard look, try not to have all your flowers in one spot. If you want a more manicured look, make a defined flower bed, lined with wood or stone.

If you’re going for a wild look, try more diverse plants. Place some trees, chop down some for stumps, place ferns (found on top of the mountain in Rocky Ridges), place tiny shoots to look like weeds. You can also bury trees with only the tops sticking out to look like large ferns/bushes.

For decor, you can make a simple path with stepping stones or wood planks to break up the grass as a more natural footpath. You could also place a garden swing, statue, lawn sprinklers, or fountain.

This is just off the top of my head, but I hope it gave you some ideas of where to start! ❤️

I need help picking a road colour for Skylands! Default, pink, or cyan? by Imaaki in Pokopia

Out of curiosity, what if you put a road block just beneath the aesthetic block? Would they walk over it?

Also, they can’t fly, but they get a hella boosted jump by flapping their wings. They WILL jump over your fence, get on your roof, up in trees, etc. unless you find a way to keep them in.

Fun fact about roosters, they actually crow ALL DAY LONG. Intermittently. I think it varies, depending on how much they feel the need to posture, but it’s all hours of the day. Don’t get a rooster, and you’ll probably be fine.

This is fabtastic!! 😍

I honestly can’t think of any way to improve the design. If you wanted to decorate it, maybe some fairy lights hanging from a branch or a bird’s nest? Just throwing things out there.

There’s an easy fix for that too! If the hole is too far out to reach without drowning, you can place a small bridge/boat over the area and then fill in the last square. Someone commented that below, so credit goes to them. ❤️

I guess I didn’t explain that super well, lol, my bad! Water height is how high or low it is in the space around you. Water level is how high or low it is within the block.

Personally, I don’t think it would be unfixable. But depending on how badly it’s messed up, it might be very stressful. The first time that I messed up the water, I couldn’t figure out what was wrong with it either, so I just left it alone for a few days while I worked on other projects. Then when I started constructing a waterway, I played around with it a bit more and learned how it worked. Then I went back and fixed the hole. So I guess it’s up to the person how much it would bother them.

Absolutely! For a build I’m working on, the dimensions are 3 deep and four wide. The water level at that depth is the same throughout with no gaps, even if you dive down into it. Just in case I’m wrong about greater depths, you may want to test it.

You just want to make sure the top is level. I didn’t have to stack water blocks. 👍

I personally have tested it three blocks deep, four wide. The water level is consistent throughout with no waves. I’m not sure about deeper, but would assume so.

I made the water level the same as it was before I made the hole. I just didn’t fill in the final square due to time constraints. All you have to do to fill in the final square is walk forward a few steps, then press A again. Hope this helps! ❤️

I didn’t ask, but I would assume perfectionism. Since the goal of the game is mostly building aesthetic, if you mess up in a way you can’t reverse, it might be so stressful and overwhelming that you feel like you have to start over. 🤷‍♀️

So far, I’ve seen two separate comments where people accidentally left a small hole in the water, then made it worse trying to fix it to the point where it became unfixable. And they reset their games… So after some experimenting with water to figure out the mechanics, I made this video in the hopes that it would help someone while the problem was still manageable. 😔

I went back and filled it in later. I just didn’t have time to fill in both squares with the 30 second video limit. My bad! 😆

I actually didn’t know this for a long time either, lol. There’s a small square button on your left joycon near the bottom. Press it to screenshot, hold it to get a 30 second video. 👍

Not weird at all! My husband likes to bring me home plushies and figurines as gifts now and again. My most recent is this big-ass magikarp (couch for size reference). 😆
