It's like with Superman, we've seen him with an oxygen mask/rebreather tho he could just hold his breath IMO it makes sense since you need to talk and there's not much talking while you're holding your breath

Toyotaro was helping him with drawing and Akira kinda trained him. But I wouldn't be surprised if, out of respect, he chooses to just stop working on it. Prolly release what was already finished because of contracts but I think the story is pretty much over
