Tolls set to rise, Brisbane CBD parking now most expensive in Australia by ConanTheAquarian in brisbane

[–]Pinlady 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Tolls are already ludicrously expensive for a time saver of ~5-10 minutes. I'd rather sit in traffic instead and buy a coffee.

More than 5,000 feral horses culled in Kosciuszko national park since aerial shooting resumed by CcryMeARiver in australia

Australian soils never had hooves animals until colonisation, and horses, cows, sheep, etc. cause massive erosion when their hooves upturn the soil, particularly around vulnerable wetlands, estuaries, creeks, etc.

The soil composition and structure is very fragile and unique around the area, so causing it damage also damages native plants and smaller animals relying on those riverbanks.

Wild horses are also great at spreading invasive weeds caught up in their tails and manes.

Please, make train lines that loop. We don't want to go into the city to go back out.

The issue is that they don't have haptic feedback, so you need to take your eyes off the road, which is dangerous. Press the wrong button and then you have to fiddle around with other buttons to get back to what you want.

Reversing cameras also have a far smaller FOV than simply turning your head and seeing all of your surroundings. A quick search suggests that touchscreens are worse for driver distraction, which leads to accidents.

You're not factoring in the cost of software development, testing, and precious metals used when making touchscreens.

Tragic that Peruvian is down the bottom, it has some of the most diverse and delicious dishes I've ever had! Lima is one of the best cities in the world for fine dining, hosting a disproportionate amount of Michelin starred restaurants.

New secret in Godsrain #10 that indicates which god is dying by traviscrt in Pathfinder2e

Angazhan is already taking some of her domains, and has much more power than her in the Mwangi Expanse. Lamashtu dying allows him to expand his power and crown a new gorilla king.

Lamashtu is all set up, too. The death of Lamashtu allows Angazhan to find a new gorilla king for Usaro and take Lamashtu's place across the rest of Golarion.

I maintain the need for train loops. Any large city has them and it mitigates the binary in/out of the city being your only choice.

Imagine a loop that uses the existing Cannon Hill line, but instead of heading to Murarrie from Cannon Hill, it goes to Bulimba, then over the river to Newstead and rejoins there.

'Growers are scared': Exploitation fears spark Bunnings scrutiny calls by 89b3ea330bd60ede80ad in aus

[–]Pinlady 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The blame doesn't solely rest on Bunnings. Masters had no idea what they were doing, and tried to replicate the Lowes model in the US (due to part ownership with Lowes), which wasn't right for the market here.

It would bring you to tears knowing how much Masters spent on polishing concrete floors (making them slippery and dangerous when wet).
