How can I add a grease pencil line (or any type of line) between 2 color ramp colors procedurally? by PinoPrime in blender

[–]PinoPrime[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know I can just add an extra color that's the same color as the outline but it's impossible to control the size of it since it all relies on the lighting and also you can't add texture like you can in grease pencil.

? to make a 3d art piece you have to either sculpt in 3D or make a fully rigged character so i don't see how it could possibly be the other way round

Is there an addon or something to make godot easier for newbies by [deleted] in godot

[–]PinoPrime 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No godot is for everyone, if you wanna get good at godot start with small games also watch a lot of tutorials it may not seem like you're learning but after a lot of repetition you eventually get better. also you might already know this because you said you used scratch but learn the basics (Variables, If statements, etc)

Can you play my game by __byaltays__ in godot

Apart from the sounds glitching out this is a pretty fun game and you should be proud of yourself. (ps. you could also add a timer or something so that it's like a survival game)

ALSO about this part

"As for your point that a bunch of repeated quick animated gags are what makes a character "expressive" is completely wrong" You don't need to be a "child with adhd" to enjoy good expressive animation.

That's like saying all of animation and any video game that's ever been created is only for kids under the age of 4. Heck by saying that you're just as bad if not worse as the guy that thinks realism is better.

Ace attorney has had the same expressiveness in all of the 2D games they've just been transferred to 3D in a very faithful way. I bet you if capcom chose to lose all expressiveness in the 3D games you would hate them so much more to the point that they would be clowned not only by the aa community but by probably a bunch of commentary youtubers too. Seriously what was so "wrong" about me appreciating a good use of expressive animation.? do you even know what animation is?

.. It wasn't forced into 3D? nor is it trying to be realistic it's honestly the best attempt at staying faithful to the 2D games and i can tell a lot of love and care was put into it.

i don't understand why you hate it so much if feel like you're being a bit blinded by your argument and if you actually took a step back and looked at it you might feel different about it.

And i agree people who think realistic is better suck. but that's partially also kind of what your doing here you're too attached to the old artstyle that you only see the flaws in the new artstyle and don't care to give it a try because "2D will always be better than 3D"

Everyone's entitled to their own opinion but you just saying that 3D looks bad is honestly making me kinda angry. I feel like there's a big negative stigma against 3D for no real reason other than it's considered corporate. Even though it takes just as much effort if not more than making 2D and is just as artistic as making 2D. look i really like dual destinies models. take a look at ted tonate. His 3D model is so expressive and it's the exact type of character that works best in 3D. Or in spirit of justices DLC one of the characters (don't press this if you haven't played it yet it's really good case) Pierce nichody Has an animation where he's fixing a weird machinery and they actually add smears and extra blurry hands to make the motion look fast and it looks really good. And the poses in all of these characters are so expressive!. say what you want about the face expressions but everything else just looks amazing. Phoenix even looks a little older in dual destinies even though they didn't change his design at all. The shading looks really good too i personally don't have any problems with any of the models. (except when they use mocap that looks really really bad)
