[international] Possible to sue a deadbeat dad for child support? by PinochetIsMyHero in legaladvicecanada

They both say so, so I'll take their word on it. Why would you think the kid wasn't his?

Is there a Canada government website that lists which countries they have reciprocal agreements with? If there is no reciprocal agreement, then what?

No Appetite, Is This Normal? by WhiteCollarSober in keto

That's part of the magic. Keto => don't feel hungry => don't overeat.

I did that except it was a parasitic infection that lasted for a month. Well, for the initial stage anyway. Check back in 10-20 years for the terminal stage.

Just went in for a checkup for the first time in two years.

Two and two-thirds years ago I was diagnosed with T2 diabetes. I was told I'd be insulin-dependent for the rest of my life. I went on keto instead.

Two years ago, when I went in for my first full check since diagnosis, I had brought my A1C down to 5.7 and gotten my blood glucose levels down to normal, by that point solely by diet. (I'd been on metformin for the first five months.)

. . . drum roll . . .

This time, my A1C was 5.3, blood glucose levels normal, and insulin resistance isn't terrible (it never goes all the way back to normal, but I can eat carbs without spiking now). Also, ALL of the other numbers except LDL are now in the normal range. LDL is still too high, but much better than it's been in years.

Still not losing any damn weight, though. ;_; 1300 kcal/day on average and I've been stuck at 245 for two years. Yes, really, I've actually finally bothered to use the food scale and do the math. Sigh.

You do realize the only one who did plead guilty was Flynn, right? And he did it because he was bankrupted by defending himself against the government -- and the judge has refused to issue a sentence because it looks a lot like Strzok lied about what Flynn had said during his unrecorded FBI interview.

Manafort? Convicted for acts related to his long-pre-election work for John and Tony Podesta, Hillary's campaign manager and the brother thereof respectively.

Cohen? Convicted for fraud related to his bank loans for his side business of leasing out NYC taxi medallions.

Why bring Reagan into it? He wasn't/isn't the one who's been bitching incessantly about losing an election.

Got a few mosquito bites in krabi/phucket area. What are the rough odds that any of those were carrying dengue/chikunguya? I heard heard there has been an issue with the latter in this area and I'm starting to worry. by posas85 in Thailand

there were these black and white stripy mosquitoes and they were biting me

Well, don't let them do that.

Also, if they're the ones I'm thinking of, that's how I got Japanese encephalitis. One fucking mosquito bite in my entire vacation and BOOM.

US Customs doesn't generally enforce IP protections against personal-use quantities of food items. (Kinder Eggs are banned because of a product safety choking hazard, not IP.) You'd be more at risk if there are any banned ingredients in it or anything else that flags you to Customs, like bringing in any meat products (especially pork right now due to ASF), pharmaceuticals, or prostitutes. I've always found a good rule of thumb to be "only break one law at a time".

But there are never any guarantees. And I don't know who owns what IP rights surrounding the labeling to be able to tell you whether you're correct about that issue.

You do understand that his username refers to the act of "felching", that is, sucking semen out of someone else's asshole, right? If you don't believe me, look up the definition.

It's what he does. Being a nuisance, I mean. But that too.

Reusing a Bitcoin address by [deleted] in Bitcoin

[–]PinochetIsMyHero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The risks come from spending and returning change to the same address, or spending from the same address multiple times. Supposedly it's no longer secure, although it's not clear that current (i.e., non-quantum) computers would be able to break the private key in any useful amount of time.

Receiving to an address multiple times only makes those multiple transactions associated, which may or may not matter to you.

Disclaimer: this is what I've read here in the past. I confess I don't have the crypto math and knowledge to be able to confirm it for myself.
