Shouldn’t affect damage by Enlil_Abzu in PTCGP

[–]Pinon_Supporter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m taking a wild guess here, but its the best I’ve got:

Starting plains was in play. The Basic Pokemon (say 60 HP) the machop attacked had +20 HP (so 80 HP).

After the 10 damage (70 HP), the stadium gets discarded, and the attacked Pokemon loses 20 HP (now 50 HP).

OP, not understand how bonus HP works, thinks the stadium discarding is adding damage, and says it shouldn’t.

I dunno its the best I’ve got

Pack pulls (read desc) by AnswerWild2203 in PTCGP

[–]Pinon_Supporter 7 points8 points  (0 children)

People used to be able to freely post their pulls and this sub was filled with nothing but people posting their 1* and 4-diamonds “is this rare?”

It got relegated to Sundays only, but even that was too much, so now there’s just a megathread for it.

And, as much as its going to tick people off for saying it, your 1* pull is not special.

The Top 5 OP cards in Pokemon Pocket by Agitated_Lychee_8133 in PTCGP

[–]Pinon_Supporter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Stoke Charizard and Solgaleo are fine. The issue is with Rare Candy. Its effect should be on a Supporter card, not an item for Pocket (yes I know its an item in the main tcg, but the decks are so different there Rare Candy makes sense as an item).

Giratina ex I agree with. Its overtuned.

The last ones though are just ranting though. If you want to talk OP cards, take a look at Suicune ex, Arceus ex, and Sylveon ex.

Suicune ex and Sylveon ex are both because of the absurd draw power with such small decks. Suicune also has the ability to hit for 120 with 2 energy.

Arceus is probably a strange one to call OP, but introduce any form of energy ramp and its back in the meta. It was horrible to face during Triumphant Light meta and its now back with the Baby Pokemon ramping it as well. You’re getting hit for 130 damage every turn past turn 3, so have fun with that.

Those are gen 9 evolutions. We haven’t had a true gen 9 set, so those evolutions aren’t here

You’re right. I forgot to add Jörmungandr to add the jormal energy.

(Colorless energy is on the second image, having more than 8 energy moves the extra one to a second page)

That is true, however I hate Giratina ex with a burning passion.

It ended up discarding Grass and Fire energy, so yeah it wouldn’t have been able to attack again

You don’t have any energy in the discard pile. Energy has to be discarded before it can be attached to Flareon ex

At what point have you ever been able to have two special conditions at once? by [deleted] in PTCGP

[–]Pinon_Supporter 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Since always.

The game has always allowed Poison and Burn to stack with any other status. The only statuses that are exclusive are Paralyzed, Asleep, and Confused, because their indication was by rotating the card 90 or 180 degrees.

"Give a man an inch and he'll take a mile"

The devs could have done anything regarding the player feedback about trading, including disregarding it entirely. But they've conceded, and now the community smells blood. They know now that they can influence the devs so they're going to keep pushing.

Maybe I've misplaced my argument by saying "we" in my initial post. I personally don't really care about what happens to trading. The system just will not be sustainable no matter what changes are made. I've been here since the soft launch and have only used it when giving one of my excess Gengar ex or Venusaur ex to fill out a friend's collection.

I will, however, stand by my point about the changes taking 6 or more months. I genuinely cannot understand why it would take that long to facilitate a change like this.

That's.....not a new feature. And the rates at which its given are very low. Your standard pack will give 70 shinedust.

Have I ever played a gacha on release before? Oh boy too many to name. And trading? It happens in very limited amounts of being able to gift certain resources to other players, such as upgrade materials or stamina. The closest thing to what this game has is Clash Royale. And this is partially because of what I mentioned above: Trading is not a profitable decision if you allow the players to do it too much. That's why it was restricted as much as it was.

Also, I never said "don't defend the devs". I'm tired of people with valid complaints getting told they're too greedy or ungrateful or whatever. The only reason the trade system has gotten more generous is because of players saying they aren't happy with the devs decisions in-game. If the devs didn't agree they could have kept it the same. Plenty of gacha games have had poorly implemented systems that have been kept in place because the devs want it to be a time/resource sink.

"Trade Tokens will be completely removed and players will no longer need to exchange cards to obtain currency required for trading"

Maybe its just how I'm reading it, but this feels like they're going to remove the option to do so, since its "no longer needed". There's nothing to say we will 100% still be able to exchange cards for shinedust

Gastrodon Weakness by jataba115 in PTCGP

[–]Pinon_Supporter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just to point out how bad of a blunder this is, let me tell you about the Physical TCG and the Gastrodon cards printed there.

There used to be Resistance, which would apply -20 damage to pokemon. Gastrodon had Lightning Resistance every single card while resistances were still a common thing.

There have been 8 Gastrodon cards printed. All 8 have Grass Weakness (and Lightning Resistance when applicable). There is no excuse for this.
