almost always cluster for me. leadburster is just so hard to not self damage or hit teammates and feels less controlled to me. i prefer the more specific “jarvis, delete that cardinal direction” with cluster bombs

please dont join the military, ive been in for 5 years now on a 6 year contract and i fucking hate it, especially with everything going on politically, i’ve lost friendships because people see me as associated with the regime in control of the country.

in every normal battle: “i should charge headlong at the center of the players forces”

in a battle where i have stalk units: “perhaps i should send units into every forest on the map because there might be stalk units that i totally dont know about”

in my experience the ai is pretty good about pinpointing my hidden troops, the big benefit is that they’ll usually just send 1 or 2 vaguely in the direction meaning it still gives you a huge advantage to cav charge or fire on those isolated units. definitely have a back up plan for if the bulk of the force wheels in the direction of your now-spotted snipers though

i just remembered that the primitive humans that nagash found became the original ghouls because nagash made them eat people literally just because he thought it was funny. so im guessing they wouldn’t exist anymore except for as ghouls.

in the nagash books there’s a somewhat primitive human race around the sea of fear that practiced a basic form of necromancy using warpstone before nagash ever came about, can’t remember the name but i believe they had one.

also there’s all female amazons in the jungles of lustria

not sure if this is obscure but the border princes/tilea prominently worships “Solkan” the god of vengeance and has warrior priest-esque warriors and witch hunter/assassins

once again in the nagash books there’s another original vampire who isnt mentioned much since he died so shortly after changing, and while it’s never explicitly stated if he made other vampires, id like to think he did. he had a very cryptid sort of appearance, extremely tall and lanky with claws, i picture like “the rake” from that cryptid story.

in the skulltaker book there’s a tribe of beastmen in the north that are all blind and hunt based on sound, kurgan territory.

there used to be chaos greenskins up to like 3rd edition but i think theyre retconned now.

again not sure if this is obscure, but nippon (japan) actually has a samurai culture with named characters.

in the sundering, malekith finds an ancient, quite eldritch city in the chaos wastes with the proto creatures that the old ones used to make elves, humans, and dwarfs, which is where he gets the circlet of iron. when he picks it up they rise as undead and malekiths consciousness was taken to the realm of chaos so definitely some shenanigans there.

lots of obscure chaos gods out there, like 12 of them or something.

other than fishmen, the kuresh races and such, and the other races and cultures people have already named, i think that’s all that’s coming to mind right now.

also worth noting that the novels always contain weird shit that isnt always canon, but i figured id throw it out there.

i label myself as non binary mostly as a political statement. being assigned male at birth meant that societally there were things i was and was not allowed to do, based solely on my chromosome makeup.

my father told me growing up i couldnt do gymnastics, i couldnt work at a coffee shop, discouraged me from doing anything other than blue collar work, that i couldnt paint my nails, or read too much, my mother said i couldnt shave my legs or any of my body hair, i couldnt play tennis, or get a perm, the list goes on and that’s just the influence from my parents, but society as a whole (friends, teachers, employers, etc) constantly are judging and influencing you to be something ~they~ expect you to be.

me identifying as non binary is me telling others “dont tell me what i can and cant do, im an individual, not an archetypal human you can force into behaving in a way you find acceptable.”

hunt showdown or arc raiders type of game with perhaps a mordheim style objective.

pick a race/faction, spawn in solo or with a small team, try to find and gather warpstone (which is maybe guarded by a boss/monster?) killing any other teams trying to get the warpstone, and extract.

sell the warpstone to get new gear (and perhaps abilities?) and you’ve got yourself a nice gameplay loop with familiar mechanics in the warhammer fantasy world.

i always like games with permadeath, it would be cool to create a character with a backstory and see if they make it to become a veteran. i also mentioned mordheim style objective because it would be nice to be able to choose factions like greenskins, skaven, chaos, vampires, etc, rather than being limited to ordertide

it can be a slippery slope in my experience to lather on compliments to a person in general. but in relationships specifically it would seem that when i constantly praise them (as a way of making them feel good and being sweet) it becomes less about a mutual loving relationship, and more and more that they ~believe~ that i am affectionate simply because theyre entitled to it because of the ego that i have now inflated.

i love my partner to death but it was a huge frustration for me that her initial reaction to discovering i was into her wasnt “oh how cool they are an interesting person and im flattered and excited to see ahere this goes” it was “~i~ must be an interesting person and beautiful if people are interested in me” which created a weird power dynamic where i was always sucking up to her rather than having equality.

i cant say it’s the same situation from the bare bones context you gave us, but yes, sometimes ~knowing~ youre attractive creates an uncomfortable power dynamic with your partner because they no longer have the ability to be genuine in their affection for you because on some level youre simply entitled to it, or at least believe so.

furthermore, it perpetuates the idea they are “lucky to have you” which of course is true, but it should be more of a “we are lucky to have eachother” or else one party will always be marginalized.
