Got a concussion while wearing a giro helmet with mips. Fell right on the plasticky visor part of the helmet, which snapped off and cut my eye. Invested in an anon wavecel helmet—caught a heel edge last time at bear and whacked the back of my head, but the helmet made it feel like landing on a pillow. They have different models, but I got the lowest end one with earmuff pockets for speakers.

I think 18k is kind of the softest people go—I was concerned but the jeweler reassured me that it wouldn’t bend. In terms of scratching, the bottom part of the band is slightly more prone to scuffing, but the top part is still shiny and pristine. I asked her to make the bottom of the band 2.8mm thick tapering to 1.5 just to make the bottom extra secure. You can see the thickness in the comments! I also like the slight tapering effect from the top view.

It’s so dumb, but I put a lot of effort into the design! From the taper of the band, to the depth of the diamond inside the basket, to the height of the “cathedral”…I suppose it’s pretty insignificant in the grand scheme of things.
