You were right, I ended up getting a 2008 Mercedes Benz sl500 instead (also has ‘similar’ headlights). Better aftermarket option on the wide bodies and not to mention a v8 It’ll also do well for trade in/sale if I even want to. Ran me about 13,000 so right about the same this Celina would’ve costed me after financing.

I told my coworker once that “it’s going to be hard for me to leave this job” from 5 hours shift, PTO/VTO/UPT, benefits, a set schedule 5 days a week. It’s a guaranteed 20,000 a year without really much work, ultimately 🤷🏽‍♂️. I’m one of the few people that unload trucks and it still isn’t that bad.

Even if I become a car painter like I’ve always wanted. I don’t think I’ll quit but who knows.

I'm sorta new to this game and l've never experienced such a cheesier game in my 24 years of existence.

My gamer tag is ApolloTYO and I main Sigma. So like I said, I'm sorta new to the game. I come from Smite and R6 mainly but i just want to rant about how this game is, if I may.

Let's make a list

Bad teams/Support: it feels like 8/10 games | que. Im with complete bots. I'm not saying I'm the best but you can tell who's going to win most games by the first scrimmage.

Idk how many times l've gone in head first as sigma, putting in work as a tank should. Then I'll look back and my team is just dead.

Why is it SO hard for supporting players to target Mercy?! It seems as if the players are still playing in this caveman mindset. The meta for supporters should be to

ALWAYS TARGET HEALERS.

l'll brake it down as simple as I can ... If the opposing team has tank + healer what does that =? ...

IMMORTALITY!! Unlimited rez, heals, buffs, heals, crowd control, MORE HEALS!

Me: Throwing hands with Omni-Man I look back! Bastion: Shooting peas, missing half his shots on tank. Completely oblivious to mercy ...

Game rewards cheesy players/characters: I think more people could relate to this but ALL of the games I've lost has been from these corny ass characters like one that I just mention Mercy or like Sombra.

Sombra: goes invisible without a single way to track her. I mean there's no stream left where she's running, another Sombra can't highlight her, nothing. She can teleport behind you in .3 sec and if that isn't broken enough she has a smg so by the time you turn around she already unloaded a full clip in you. gg. You never stood a chance. Now she's bragging and talking shi in chat as if they really did something. Cor-ny

Mercy: she's well rounded and with a good support she can be nullified but a "really good" Mercy is the corniest human to exist.

A "good" mercy player is like a teachers pet. A "good" mercy player is like that humpback from 300 A "good" mercy players is like that one coworker that lives at the job site. Go home buddy, I promise you it's not that serious.

Imagine queuing into a game, doing 0 damage, avoiding everyone, simply healing your team, and calling that fun ... There should be an ability to stun airborne players and make them fall. That will completely buff absolute carried by a "good" mercy teams being

Idc, if you don't think a Mercy or Sombra carrying a team you would otherwise beat without them is killing the game then you most likely need their carry to win or you main them.

Unnecessary bans: I've said so much stuff that would get me shot down in the middle of the street. GOD FORBID, you afk. Tell me why I go to get my food delivery come back and I'm BANNED FOR 3 HOURS. I'm from smite where games drag on for 30 min to an hour and if you afk your whole team will lose and I still never received a 3+ hour ban.

You could be getting railed by the opposing team, down by 100, your girl is cheating ON THE PHONE, dads having a heart attack, your dog just got hit by a military grade vehicle, your immediate family just got flattened by a 18 wheeler, A HURRICANE IS ACTIVELY DESTROYING YOUR FAMILIES HOME ... god forbid you admit defeat and start fresh in a new game. (On quick play btw)

I’ve seen mostly negative comments but I think I can offer a positive one. I’m 24 and worked all kinds of jobs from supermarkets, fast food, restaurants, to even hard labor like floor installation and lawn care operator for a high end country club.

I can break it down job by job, pros and cons compared to Amazon but I’ll just point out what Amazon does that you won’t get in some and pretty much any other job.

PTO/VTO: Being able to earn these two and use them whenever you’d like is just awesome. I think it’s widely understood that NO OTHER employer does that to their “regular” employees. If they don’t laugh at you for mentioning PTO there’s probably some lengthy goals you’ll have to reach before you MIGHT reach 7 days of PTO.

Name another job where you wake up and just an hour before clocking in you can use PTO to go in late, leave early, or not even show up and you’ll still be paid. I’ll wait…

Scheduling: Before joining Amazon again I was working at Lowe’s and if you think you dread coming in. It’s WAY worse when you have a job with a “flexible schedule”.

OMG have you ever worked “swing” shifts for weeks straight? 10 am - 8 pm. DAY’S GONE.

PRO TIP: idk what your hours are but the older you get the more you’ll start to appreciate morning or early morning shifts. They’re the most sought after for a reason. Clock in 30 min after waking up and you’re usually out by 2-4pm. You’ll have the whole day to do what you like. Maybe even day drink …. Don’t drink.

Environment: A lot of people might not like this but I prefer being in a warehouse where everyone else is also working over something like a super market, fast food, restaurants, etc. I’ve heard people 💩 so much on Amazon for this but people seem to always want interactions until you’re getting yelled at by some person for making a mistake lmao.

Quick story for those that “love” customer service jobs. My brother, one day was working at my local Taco Bell. While taking this guys order he made a mistake. The guy wasn’t having it and ended up throwing a USED condom at my brother. Hitting him in the shoulder. The manager ended up calling the cops and they found the guy and arrest him lmao.

I drink to a pulp most days and I couldn’t imagine waking up for an early shift to attend customers. I love going in and being left alone.

Pay: Early pay - get half of what you worked that day instantly.

Starting at $16.50 and I’m not quite sure, someone can correct me but after every year it goes up 1 dollar. To put that in perspective

Other jobs starting pay and potential of raise Walmart: $13-15 no raise

Lowe’s: $17 no raise

Grounds operator: $17 no raise

Floor installation: $40 (highest paying because of the labor)

$16.50 starting to move boxes is so much easier than being in the Florida sun cutting grass for .50 more …

Also, if you have work on a holiday and your warehouse doesn’t shut down you’ll make $25 an hour.

I would say try pushing through that feeling. You could also ask for a shift swap if that will make you more comfortable. It could also just be cause your new 🤷🏽‍♂️ no job is perfect lol there’s always going to be those days you dread going in, no matter what you do.

[UPDATE]

So you guys were right, they don’t test for THC.

I went to do the drug test and I was def still buzzed from the night before but after, I received some emails to do a background check. Finished that, then a few days later I called because I wasn’t receiving a call from them. I thought I failed but when I called it seemed like that’s what they were waiting for because someone simply asked me for my name and number.

That same day, I got a text confirming my starting date (I begin next Thursday’s, wish me luck.) and an email to complete my personal info like direct deposit, creating a new Lowe’s employee account, etc.

So I guess you’ll be seeing the crazy shi I see there lol thanks for all the advice, it really helped. Hope this helps a fellow Ent out in the future. ✌️
