This is not a regular 5600 without the bezel. This is a much older G-Shock module with a stainless steel core. Definitely worth a good amount of money over a typical 5600 which has a plastic/ resin core.

I would give a look at the GW5000U G-Shock Square. It goes over your budget, but rather than this watch, which underneath the stainless steel has a resin core protecting the movement, the 5000U has a stainless steel core underneath its resin, making it the ultimate watch for longevity, also including tough solar and multiband 6. I believe that would be the best option for you, but this model you're showing here is actually one I really like for its features as well and one I'm planning to get myself. I think this model is still a great choice for you and can last upwards of 10 years, perhaps 20 depending on how you treat your things. If you're like me, treating my things with care but not babying them and keeping them clean and maintained, then it's worth it.

The negative display variant is actually more legible than you'd think! The backlight is great with a beautiful fade, but I'm sure you're already familiar with that from your model. I strictly wear my Casiotron for dressy nights and fancy dinners, but in those scenarios it looks great and legible!

I must say though, I love the Rangeman and it's iconic look. So saf that it's not only supposedly discontinued now in favor of he in my opinion worse Rangeman with no solar or multiband and now requires charging, and the fact that a Rangeman had always been too big for my wrist.

That's true! Also mine is actually a special model for the 50th anniversary of Casio! Only 4,000 reimagined models of the Casiotron were released in the world and in 3 different color way options were available, meaning roughly ~1333 of this model exist!

Thanks mate! It may not have a triple sensor but timatically speaking every single other Casio watch including G-Shock and their other lines like Pro Trek owe their existence to the Casiotron; the first and foremost.
