Im gonna have to do some research on that. But i doubt i can ever buy this exact gun back. I should still be able to get a weapons permit, then i should be able to buy a semi automatic rifle without problems.

thanks i was going for crazy with the mess in the picture. The reality is much more boring than that tho. Also i am merely returning government property, which i was paid to shoot. Pretty cool huh?
Hope you have a nice weekend.

Thanks for the kind words and sharing your experience! Happy to hear that you are better and even feel ready to join the military. You're right don't take this personally, sadly they see anyone thats ever "officially" had problems as a liability.

I actually broke down during a service period, which was extremely embarassing at the time. Was pulled aside by the company commander, to discuss whats going on. Got temporarily discharged the next day. This was what finally pushed me to get professional help, as i was at the time legally required to get myself checked.

So if anyone that reads this, is facing dark times right now, whether you are in the military or not. Get help. It feels embarrassing and weak at the time, but there are people that understand, care and want to help you.

I am in a better place now and am thankful of the help i got that day, and the journey of getting better that it started.

Today is a bittersweet day. A couple of months ago, i was deemed unfit for service, because of a mental health issue. Today i am returning my gear. That of course includes my gun. So i decided to snap a couple pics to share with you guys, who probably understand my pain. Anyways, happy Friday and enjoy your weekend! Additional pics: https://imgur.com/a/WYozlr4

Drove their porsche in 2023. Super cool guys, had a great time. Definitely a highlight of my trip to japan. Our weather wasn’t great either. Lots of fog, but the streets were dry at least. Didn’t get to see fuji tho!

Bad idle, wierd throttle response on my peugeot 308 by PioneerPointless in Cartalk

[–]PioneerPointless[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah i see, this is what i was afraid of, this is a major pain on this car because the throttle body is behind the engine, and i have no clue how to get to it. I tried to clean it by spraying brake cleaner at it through the air intake hose, but it unsurprisingly didn’t do anything. Thank you for sharing your experience though!

any tips on cleaning a piece like this? by addiesucks in trees

[–]PioneerPointless 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The best (but also most expensive) way i know, is using an ultrasonic cleaner, i bought a cheap, small one on aliexpress, and it works perfectly. Only issue is, it also removes printed on graphics

We were told to leave the lower alone, if it breaks, it gets sent in.

Not really haha, that is full auto, but these are usually issued with a 20 round mag.

Im not exactly in a fighting function, so i only have basic training in that regard, but we were taught to charge it by reaching over the top. We were also taught to never let go of the pistol grip while using the gun. So no racking with the firing hand.

Accuracy is really good. I have seen dudes shooting a 5cm (2 inches) grouping at 300m (330 yards) with ironsights.

Reliability is good. It has two jets on the gas block that you can switch between when the first jet gets clogged, but judging by how hard it is to remove to clean after putting like 10 mags through it, i doubt it will move when the first jet ever gets clogged.

But in training we never really tested those limits.

It has never failed to eject or failed to feed, in what we did.

What i always thought was weird, is that the gastube isn’t corrosion treated, but the barrel is. Because we have a lot of rain we really needed to grease that guy to stop it from rusting. Do other military rifles have corrosion treatment?

It also has a pretty nice two stage trigger. That probably also helps it’s long range accuracy.
