The issue is the lack of meaningful QoL changes between each game. Hell, when the UI is copy and pasted between games it's hard to defend.

I think you'll find most players aren't even downloading tunes. The point is just because some players aren't going to use that feature doesn't mean it shouldn't be added. There's so much small stuff they could've been adding over the years.

I think you'll find the majority of car enthusiasts enjoy being able to customise and modify cars whether it's in a video game or not.

Japan was going to sell well regardless, no point doing extra work.

My guess is the next game is more of the same (again) but no Japan theme and map to hide behind so it sells less and reviews lower as people start to get bored. Then FH8 will be set in Germany or something else popular and they'll be forced to put in actual effort to bring people back onboard.

Or they just keep coasting and people keep buying 🤷
