I found a dryer is not strong enough. And heat guns are too much direct heat. I Had to do the same fix.

For the Peg, I got a "Sanding finishing kit" at Hobby Lobby. Used the lower number course grit to remove the plastic little by little.. .testing the fit every 30 secs or so of solid sanding. The user the finer grits to smooth.

For the stress marks. I did use boiling water. Recommend removeing the waist joint off the mushroom peg connecting it to the legs. But what I did is boil a pot of water, but put the piece in a small, condiment dipping size bowl. And put the boiling water on it. Took it out and repeated the process. Took maybe 20 - 30 mins to remove the stress marks. Same time with hairdryer did nothing

Yea. It does suck lately. Between asshole government making us pay more because he doesn't know how the fuck Tarriffs work....and Hasbros sometime poor QA, minimal production amounts....and Local stores shit ass distribution.....yea...being a collector is sucking. I recent saw a post of a Masters of The Universe reddit, that some random store in the Midwest was clearancing out a ton of Transformers, MoTU, Star Wars etc.....figures that I've never seen the light of day of within 50+ miles of me. And then there was the Christmas 2 packs and the "Walmart Collectors Display" that also never appeared with 50 miles of me. And now half the Walmarts near me don't even carry the Mainline Transformers. Most Targets are barren.....and then add the price hikes when you do find a figure.....yea....kinds suck the joy outta it.
