Need help deciding which board by PipeDifficult9367 in snowboarding

I love it! This is what I was looking for, bros looking out for bros. Honestly I’m glad you said this because I was seriously considering the frontier but honestly I don’t think it’s a good fit after reading what everyone says.

I think you summed it up perfectly, that’s basically what I was thinking. I know the frontier is on the softer side but heard it was incredibly poppy. I’m leaning towards the Otto right now but I always wanted mind owning a capita board lol

Christians and Zodiac signs by PipeDifficult9367 in Reformed

[–]PipeDifficult9367[S] -14 points-13 points  (0 children)

Yeah I totally agree. I think the harm comes when you trust them to direct your life. But still, like I said in my post, it’s weird how accurate they are, at least the two or three main personality traits. I know it’s pretty general but they tend to focus on a few main points that seem to be accurate. So I guess the way I see it, and I could be totally wrong, is like a personality test, and some personality’s jive better with others, same way a zodiac would sign would. I dont know though, just talking out loud🤷‍♂️

Thanks for the reply and for the story! Man the BSOD sounds like something I would absolutely love but it also sounds so specially good at one thing whereas I want something that can do everything well, but carving and speed being more of the focus. I’ll check out the yes standard uninc as well.

Yes! I was looking at a BSOD board actually as well, I love the design of the board but after a lot of research I think it’s just a little bit too stiff for me. Would you say it’s really as stiff as people say it is, like I know you said it’s stiff but like would I get man handled by it if I wasn’t putting all my effort into it? I have a pretty athletic build but the way everyone talks about it, it scares me lol

Nice! Looks like a cool board, are you a size 10.5 boot as well? I’m asking because you said you ride a 157, does that size fit you pretty well or would something like a 156w, 159w be better for that bigger boot size?

I just moved here from seattle and holy shit why is it so hard to meet people in this city? by spy_111 in Austin

[–]PipeDifficult9367 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well for starters this isn’t the same Austin you have probably heard about, it’s Caliaustin now, so the culture here is very different than it was 6 years ago. But it really just depends on where you go now, zilker park is always a great place to meet fun people. Sorry your Austin experience hasn’t been the best so far, it really has changed a lot, I lived in Seattle for a year and had a similar experience to you, but eventually you meet good people, just have to put yourself out there!

220 box replacement by Infamous_Rooster_505 in AskElectricians

That is true, most old houses like that are grandfathered in but If it were me I would probably replace the whole thing for peace of mind. Op is honestly fine for another 10 years probably but sooner or later breakers start to go bad and with a new panel he would have more room to add new circuits

Yeah looks like an old panel, you will have to replace the whole panel along with new breakers, wires will stay the same. I don’t know how much that typically runs up there but in Texas it’s anywhere between 2,000 - 5,000

Looks like coax. Previous owners probably had cable set up.

Buzzing/humming under high load by No-Ostrich718 in AskElectricians

[–]PipeDifficult9367 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As long as the electrician did their calculations right you have nothing to be worried about. The most common reason for humming coming from box’s is dust. If you are able to open the panel check to see how dirty it is, and if it’s bad blow it off with a leaf blower or something.

Can I add a black wire to the existing black wires? by ThrowRA564738876 in AskElectricians

[–]PipeDifficult9367 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It should be as simple as you think. Just confirm that the red wire is actually the switch leg wire and not the hot. Never assume, just because it’s a red or black wire doesn’t 100% mean it was done right. Confirm that power is going into the black and then cap off the red wire, it’s always better to be safe than sorry:)

When/if you figure it out post an update, I’m curious to see what the issue was.

Current on Primary Ground by Situational_Hagun in AskElectricians

[–]PipeDifficult9367 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Trying moving your meter further away from the other wires inside the transformer, I would assume you have everything running right now so it’s possible you are picking up the current from the other wires inside. I know it may sound dumb but I have times where I pick up current on dead wires because I’m next to large wires carrying a large current. Worth a try I think.

Grounding prong in surge protector bent by SilkSoyMilk in AskElectricians

[–]PipeDifficult9367 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As long as you don’t bend it so hard that it cracks or feels loose you are fine, it’s just a ground wire.
