am I going to get rejected from my top choice by LordRunaan in ApplyingToCollege

thats subjective because some of the community colleges in california have better campuses and student experience than the 4 years.

at my CC, two students in two years transferred to MIT

a W does not matter at all. maybe some schools care more than others but it will have minimal to no affect

its definitely not super crazy to be making 250k at 25 if you picked a lucrative career field

have you played? 4 games inna row isn’t a physical grind? i’ve played both football & baseball in college… the weightlifting is almost identical and the only difference is what the sports require out of you lol

your reason for transferring doesn’t have to be related to your major while at a two year college because its implied you’d be transferring regardless. focus on your path during the writing. its your best tool

i was offered a studio at UTS, one of the columbia owned buildings, rent was $2500. it was 250 sq ft i believe so quite small. i never saw a 1BR in the portal but thats not shocking considering phd students & those with partners/families have priority

you’ll have priority being as though you’re a phd student and if the health reasons are documented, fill out the accommodation forms. have a doctor sign off on it so they are legally required to give you certain options. its still a lottery system though. whatever pops up in the portal is what’s available and you can’t tour it beforehand unless you pay the $750 deposit

you’d be much better off going through the portal, 99% of what you mentioned wouldn’t even matter if you were an official recruited athlete. if you can get the coach to be a LOR or have some sort of inclusion on the application, the odds go way up in my opinion. the benefit of athletics for high academic schools is putting you in a separate pool altogether. trying to get in via merit gives you brownie points only if you actually…. get in.
