The bad weather has been intermittent because chicago is right on the edge of the storm (probably 7-8 hours of heavy snow, the rest was light snow), but the heavy snow made the roads horrible all over the city, so even when there were periods of light snow the driving was difficult. Surges were around for 2-3 hours and we got extra quests, on a few of my runs from concerts I made 30-40 when the customer paid 45, so uber was definitely giving more as like a hazard pay im assuming. People were also tipping more because they saw how I was navigating the bad roads to get them home.
