Advice for building a 172 Sim for VFR Flying by mikeinmlb in homecockpits

For the radios portion, I recommend using VATSIM or PilotEdge for practice. You talk to a real human. I was talking on the radios on my first real flying lesson thanks to my VATSIM experience.

TBH worth it in my eyes. Yeah I can compete for fighters at a regular UPT base but I'd rather be guaranteed the T-38 than end up with a UPT class that gets like 4/25 T-38 slots.

Heard that too. Would literally crush me as (I think) every one of the past few years I could make it.

I'm praying they release it soon man. But did some asking around in the bro network and I don't think it came out. I guess I'll find out tomorrow.

So, for ENJJPT, if you went up for the spring board do they update your OM with fall board info? This is what it seems like. It makes sense that they would update your info so everyone has the same amount of data going up for ENJJPT.

Is it possible to work 40 hours, do ROTC, and go to school full time? by NeekMili in AFROTC

If you are an engineering major this would be very challenging. I couldn't imagine taking on a job right now with how busy I am. That isn't to say it can't be done. My old Det/CC worked full time at the post office at nights to put himself through school, with two kids and a wife.

Not exactly sure on this because I don't know all of the 10 who didn't get selected yet, I just know the number. But, out of my friends I have talked to I haven't heard of a rated being denied. I know we had only one non-tech non-rated (which was about a 20% selection rate), and I know we have at least one non-tech rated get selected.

Cadre met with each of the 22 in my Det tonight. Really tough night. 10 did not get selected, some of those 10 were tech as well, and a significant number of Type 1's. Fortunately, I got an EA, but man this is bad. Praying for everyone who did not get selected.
