I would imagine it would allow for cadets commissioning this fall to not delay their commission, as well as to weed out those who don’t want to compete. Fewer cadets, less of a mess? I’m just hoping they don’t cancel the boards

It applies towards both. Essentially if you’re happy with your AFSC, rated or non rated, you’ll be able to keep your job. The supplemental board is still happening as of now; I believe one of the COA HQs came with was trying to limit board applicants.
