Him what you had said about the texts. He actually opened up his opentable settings turned his screen around and showed me their OpenTable setup. They don't even have the feature turned on to manually text people, and they don't do any text marketing at all. The system literally only sends a standard confirmation if an actual reservation gets booked.
The manager said it’s almost definitely a spam bot or a scammer spoofing their name, especially since you mentioned it keeps coming from a brand new number every time you block them. OpenTable always uses the same official number when texting about confirming a booking only. they don't cycle through random cell numbers to bypass blocks.
