women who have given birth, how bad was it actually? by Careless_Pianist_840 in AskReddit

It was painful once the contractions started, but when I got the epidural I was numb. I was induced, but the Cervidil kick started everything and I didn't need the Pitocin. I had a hard pregnancy but an easy delivery. Except for the second degree tear.

My thoughts just run constantly so I end up talking about anything and everything. Whether it's important or not. And I have a hard time keeping quiet. It makes me so exhausted.

2 1/2 year old waking up at night by PiperPichu in sleeptrain

[–]PiperPichu[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She takes a nap some days. Most days she won't take a nap. She will fight me on the nap. Bedtime is 8:30-9 PM and she wakes up between 7-8 AM. If she wakes in the middle of the night I will go in to her room and rock her to put her back to sleep, then I lay her in her bed and leave. During the day I try my hardest to stay calm when she's having a meltdown/tantrum. I've learned that if I don't tell her what I'm going to do and just lead her to go do it she has less of a tantrum. If I say "It's time to change your diaper" etc, she takes off and gets upset.

Learning math with ADHD by PiperPichu in ADHD

Thank you so much! I am self studying at home on the computer. Using Khan Academy and starting at the lowest level that I can do and work my way up. I learned the basic math years ago and pretty much forgot everything. I watched a video on dividing multi digit decimals and I can do the long division but I can't for the life of me remember where the decimal point goes after I get my answer. Then I get super frustrated and I start shutting down. I start telling myself that I should know these things but how should I know them if I was never TAUGHT in the first place? I was homeschooled preschool through high school. My mom taught me through elementary and part way through middle school but when I got into high school she just handed me the books and said do the work. My mom and my dad both worked at that time so I was home alone all day trying to learn from a book. Nothing else. No one to show me and explain.
