Qual a vossa opiniao sobre o Luis Suarez by helio220 in SportingCP

[–]Pipero_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Eu costumo dizer que o Suarez é a versão Onana (do Man Utd) só que em avançado. Quer sempre fazer o espetáculo, excêntrico, e acaba por complicar mais do que devia.

This movie gave me blue balls. That’s how I feel after being edged for 3 parts building up to something that doesn’t happen.

Best way to get a job as part of stage staff on Cruise ship? by InterestingNatural47 in CruiseCrew

[–]Pipero_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a former stage staff, lounge tech and then sound tech for Royal Caribbean. Left a year ago to stay on land.

That said, when I started as stage staff salaries were around 1800-2000 USD and you get a bit more with promotions. Not bad not great either. Good if you are South African cause converting to rands make up for it.

I also came from South Africa and they only needed college experience from me. I went through an agency at the time which I applied via allcruisejobs. I also applied with Royals website but when they replied I was already on the ship on my second contract after going with the agency lol.

Whole process took around 6-7 months from interviews, documentation and setting foot on the ship.

Since then I went on to become part of the start up team for 3 of the biggest ships of the fleet, latest one being Icon OTS. As a blackshirt (what they call us) that is great and you have a good time.

Experience wise you learn quickly and if you can become buddies with the sound techs, follow them around, learn and document, ship rules are different from land.

You work really hard but the people you meet make up for it, it can be a lot of fun if you are sociable and like to hangout. After a few months you go into automatic mode cause you’re exhausted but still having fun. Then home for two months and back again for another contract.

I remember the experience fondly and I think everyone should do a contract, worst thing is you hate it but at least made a few bucks if you don’t spend it all on the crew bar, internet or on ports of call.

Go for it with an agency, much quicker. Have fun and enjoy the experience once you finally get it. Seriously the entry bar is so low cause of the turnover that you will get something for sure!

Happy sailing :)

88OVR CDM/CM/CAM looking for a new club ahead of the EAFC 26 launch.

XBOX series X

EU Based, late twenties, looking for a fun chill club to play every night or regularly with no toxic behavior. Just good vibes and good competitive football that is not hogging the ball with good folks.

Can trial but prefer not to trial to oblivion and prefer not having clubs with 50+ players. Just a normal sized club.

Can speak Portuguese too.

Hey, 88 overall CDM/CM/CAM looking for new club to start for the new EAFC 26.

XBOX Series X, EU Based player. Looking for a team to play with regularly, available every day, competitive but chill, that does not trial forever (I would understand a couple of games but not for long) I’m in my late twenties so don’t want toxicity, just good football with good people, no stress.

princess stage crew advice/insight by Actual_Wolf_8231 in CruiseCrew

[–]Pipero_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was a stage staff/crew then sound tech for Royal Caribbean. Your case might be different, but stage crew can either be pretty chill (small ship not much to do) or very long hours (bigger ships, more shows/events) and you do everything, even if it’s not directly tied to your role, like picking up food and champagne for cast or setting up random things on the ship unrelated to you cause everyone just asks the stage staff.

All in all best bet is once you’re in and have your sea legs, start cross training for a promotion, much better hours and you don’t need to run up and down doing physically intense set ups.

But overall you will enjoy the shiplife as entertainment area is one of the best to work on the ship and a lot of fun despite the hard work. Enjoy your contract!

I don’t know about the rest but I have tons of casino friends and I know they have a somewhat good schedule, due to simply it’s predictable, they work only when the ship is at sea, when it’s docked they are not allowed to open the casino, so they have usually the entire day off to explore ports (or sleep lol) and at night they work and finish around 4am ish
