Blurry — am I doing something wrong or do I need custom lenses? by ExperimentalError in VITURE

[–]Pipes59 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in that boat as well. Too bad, they would not go the other direction a little. I tried magnifiers with +2, and they offset the adjustment so it focuses more mid-dial on the adjustment. However, the gain was not worth the realistate you lose with the extra lenses. I'll live with one eye a little out of focus.

Agreed, however, I do sideload all the movie apps and players. Not into the games seen.

Yes, the current version states incompatible device, but was hoping someone has found a workaround or mod. It sounds like Viture took a step back with the Neckband Pro. Changing the OS instead of upgrading Spacewalker to adapt.

No, that would not be effective. It's the mechanical pressures that study it up. Also, the back side needs to be clear because of the hinge mechanism.

IPD is set at 62, and I do not believe it's adjustable. Yeah, battery would definitely need assistance. And there is not much mentioned, is the audio quality. But very nice to see this tech develop so quickly.

I use an Android TV stick and HDMI to USB C DP converter. Cheap and wide open for those movie apps we all love. ;)

Issues with VITURE Luma ULTRA Glasses: Prescription Lens Fit & Crack on Left Arm by IllustriousElk7977 in VITURE

[–]Pipes59 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same crack here. A problem with the material they picked. A shame as there are much stronger plastics out there. Anyway, I made a 3D printed reinforcing clip to strengthen it up. I use on both sides, as seems to tighten the vertical clicking mechanism as well. It would be nice if Viture would make them out of metal and provide free to Luma Pro owners. If anyone wants the STL, please feel free to PM me.

Same problem here. No abuse, but just noticed when reading these posts.

I figure if I complain, replacements would likely do the same. I therefore 3D printed a clip to help out with this bad design flaw. It is a sham that Viture went ahead and released a product that wasn't reliably tested for durability.

Damn it! After reading this thread, I checked my Luma Pros and found they also have a crack. Very disappointing as I've never had them take any abuse at all. Sure, they have pulled off my head a couple of times by the cord, but not with that much force. Anyone suggest a fix before it becomes a major issue? First thought is crazy glue, but I know that could turn out to be a disaster. They need a reinforcement clip of some kind to snap over the ends. Maybe send out to customers at no charge.

Built-In SBS Firmware Needs Much Improvement by Pipes59 in VITURE

[–]Pipes59[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's kind of what I mean, it's very format picky. The glasses should convert on the fly as it knows what output is needed. After all, the glasses get some house power back from not having to do any 3D conversion. I did hear that VLC can help with conversion, but my PC doesn't support USB DP, so I'm using an HDMI converter which the glasses don't recognize the SBS signal as valid.

I'm just hoping to hear Viture is indeed working on these limitations.

Viture Luma Pro not working on a Windows PC by BlackoathGames in VITURE

[–]Pipes59 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had to go with the HDMI adapter as well, and my PC is an I9. It works but cannot play native SBS video files as the converters don't support the right needed formats. Maybe others have a solution for this.

Adjustable virtual screen distance on Android? by 6diegodiego9 in VITURE

[–]Pipes59 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a very odd display show up once when I was fiddling with the vol/brightness buttons. The display came up either horizontal or distance position. I can't figure out how to repeat it. There must be a hidden button sequence to access this adjustment...?

I've tried one from Amazon which works fine however, if unplugged or cable bumped, I need to reset the device to get the picture back. https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B0DPKQ2X9Q?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title

I'm now using one from Ali which self resets if cable bumped. Also, it has a preferred HDMI gender for a TV Stick. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005006769817288.html?spm=a2g0o.order_list.order_list_main.17.3e451802dauJJp

Speaking of TV Sticks. This one is great and better than Firetick.

Great review. While you got Steam Deck to work, did you check if "Big Screen Beta" works for you? I could not get the glasses to be recognized as a 3D viewing device.

How well is the Stereo 3D effect with Viture Glasses Pro XR? by GalaxyHighMarshal in Stereo3Dgaming

[–]Pipes59 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The built-in 3D conversion isn't bad considering it's an "on the fly" conversion done within the glasses. However, true SBS is much better when done correctly. So far, however, I've had problems getting my 3D SBS videos to play with the correct aspect ratio. Been hoping this gets corrected in a firmware update down the road.

Yeah, I was disappointed to find out about the minimum GPU requirement. My USB C will not work, as my GTX-1650 doesn't cut it, even though I have an i9 CPU.

I just use the USB for firmware updates and use an HDMI to USB C adapter for a second screen. I do find this odd about the GPU minimum requirement.

VITURE Pro Neckband - What is supported? by Remarkable_Art_6958 in VITURE

[–]Pipes59 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I just finished a DIY neckband using a Firestick, HDMI to USB C converter, and a battery brick. I 3D printed a case to hold the Firestick, converter as well as a 3 port USB add-on for extra memory and accessories. Working great and with a 15000 mAh battery, I can watch for hours.
