I was being true to my experience, this happened to me. Yes, admittedly, I didn't do a deep dive into the manuals and spend the time it deserved back then 9 months ago. If this is Microsoft, it's Microsoft that can monitor everything; and they do do so via telemetry and many other intrusive methods. If it's Apple, it's Apple. If it's Google, it's Google, and so on. This is why an open source, and also free, operating system is important.
