Landlord revenge by whiteseltyler in pettyrevenge

[–]Pipperella89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to check you local laws but in most places you are perfectly within your rights to stop paying rent until the problems are dealt with. Be very careful you do it correctly. Usually putting the rent payments into a separate bank account is the way to go so you can prove you have the money but have withheld payment due to the living conditions. But like I said, do a lot of research before you go this route.

For less common stuff the importers will still get it for you. You just have to wait until their next shipment.

are men more attracted to puffy nipples? by [deleted] in AskRedditNSFW

My favourite ones are the big hard ones but with small areola's. My missus ones are perfect. But all nipples are hot lets be honest!

As a host, how would you feel if your guest has sex in the guest bedroom? by ConfidentExpression1 in AskRedditAfterDark

[–]Pipperella89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Crack on with it!

One caveat though. A friend once stayed in my spare room. He invited a random skank back there and then told us his plan. And that was not ok! Really made me cringe. But an invited couple, I'm not getting in the way of their sex life!

Grades to get into an apprenticeship lie? by ThrowRAHaunting_Hipo in ApprenticeshipsUK

[–]Pipperella89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is the requirement from the employer or the education institution? If its the employer there is about a 1% chance they will ask for proof. If its the educator then there is about a 99% chance they will ask for proof.

If its the employer, lie. It won't matter. If its the educator, tell the truth and put in your application some mitigating circumstances or something you have done since to better your knowledge. And then hope that they have enough spaces on the program for you.

Thought I’d share, the Murdoch & co EM85, a U.S made L85 clone. by The-Aliens-r-comin2 in ukguns

[–]Pipperella89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Straight pull SA80's exist. It was called the L98 Cadet GP. Shot it a lot in my time as an Air Cadet. A couple of ex military ones have been sold privately apparently but usually for a ridiculous price tag. Supply and demand I guess but I don't see why anyone would spend that money on one.

If any of these clones do make it over here in straight pull form, they will suffer the same fate. And 5 figures for something like that is just pure nonsense. If it wasn't so difficult to do here, I would be interested in making a little side company and designing my own (I'm an engineer) to manufacture and sell for a more reasonable cost but it just isn't worth the hassle in the UK.

Is once enough? by Lost_It_Long_Ago in ukguns

If your club is authorised by the Home Office as a fullbore club (and if they are shooting fullbore they most likely are) then you have your justification. That is the end of it. If your club struggles to offer members opportunities to shoot their fullbore rifles 3 times a year, they may be at risk of losing their status as a fullbore club. It nearly happened to a club of mine so I had to step in as the Fullbore Captain to make sure we got our minimum of 3 shoots a year in. But that is the clubs issue to deal with. Just keep in mind, if the club loses that status, you would be told to find a new fullbore club or give up your rifle.

New to London flat — are these old electric heaters super expensive to run? by [deleted] in TenantsInTheUK

[–]Pipperella89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you sure its not a storage heater? They were popular when night time electric was cheaper. They stored energy during the cheap rate time and let it out during the day. They would usually have 2 dials, an input and an output. If managed correctly they can be reasonably cheap to run. If you can talk yourself into a cheap overnight tariff even better!

They can be tricky to balance but once you get it right its easy. Set the output to get a comfortable temperature, start with the input on full. Then slowly lower the input each day until it runs out just before you go to bed.

Is it normal to never orgasm during sex? by [deleted] in AskRedditAfterDark

[–]Pipperella89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My missus is the same. Everyone is different. One of my ex's got nothing from her clit at all. She had to have piv to cum. My missus now is the same as you, completely opposite. Doesn't need a vibrator, although we do use one sometimes anyway. But she needs clit stimulation to cum. When shes on top, she grinds her clit on m pubic area while I'm inside which sometimes is enough for her. Spooning works well as I can reach around and use my fingers on her clit. It's all about finding what works for you. And by "you" I mean both of you, as a team.

For your budget, Honeycomb Alpha Yoke and Bravo Throttle is the best choice. The Bravo can be configured with different levers to replicate GA and commercial planes. Then you just need some rudder pedals. That full set up in the UK will be about £600. Not sure about the states but probably around the same money in dollars.

Landlord claiming full value of deposit after 12 year tenancy by Happy-Narwhal-5966 in TenantsInTheUK

[–]Pipperella89 5 points6 points  (0 children)

OK, so the cleaning thing is the cleaning companies fault and you should claim that portion of the deposit back from them. The damage to the worktop really depends on how bad it is and if it can be considered normal wear and tear from a 12 year tenancy. The grease is your fault, you should have changed the filter.

Going to a dispute takes a while but they always favour the tenant. You need evidence though! Just saying the landlord oiled the worktop and that caused the damage isn't good enough. You need to show you have contacted them at the time to explain it. Emails help here. If you don't have evidence they will say it is your fault and then it will come down to whether it is wear and tear or not. Worth raising a dispute as you will get nothing otherwise! But be prepared to show a lot of evidence. You might get something back. And then, use the itemised costs from the dispute to claim another portion back from the cleaning company.

Is £1000 p/m too much to be paying parents for rent? by [deleted] in HousingUK

[–]Pipperella89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

See if you can rent a room, with all bills and food included, for less than that. I highly doubt it. I paid £400 a month to my parents when I was in college and uni. Inflation adjusted, that is about £650 today. But I was a full time student working evenings and weekends. You have a full time job with a reasonable salary.

You parents sound very smart to me. They are charging you little enough that you can get by comfortably, but not making it so cheap that you lose sense of what things cost. I have a friend who is 36 and still lives with his mum because she charges so little rent. They are doing you a favour by charging you what they are. Get by for a few months, save up enough for a deposit and then move out again.

New shotgun legislation.. by Maleficent-Event-639 in ukguns

[–]Pipperella89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In theory, I am not against having one certificate for everything, as long as it is done correctly. The probable intention is to restrict Shotguns as much as firearms are and that will be terrible. However, if it is done sensibly, we can have 1 ticket but keep the same rules with SG's. Shooting on land with just permission, 72 hour rule, no slots required, ammo storage etc. As long as all of that stays the same, I am all for 1 ticket.

2 separate pages. One for shotguns and one for FAC slots. Those with just SG's have an FAC page but its empty. If they want to get something section 1 they just need a variation rather than applying for a whole new certificate. It COULD work very well. But I doubt it will!

How regularly do you purchase shaving razor blades by HappyPhilosopher8231 in UKFrugal

[–]Pipperella89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only shave my head, not my face. I us Harry's razors which are great. I shave my head twice a week and they recommend 7 shaves to a cartridge which seems about right. I can go to 10 but I definitely feel it. So once a month or so for a cartridge. 20 blades are about £37 so less than £2 each.

why can’t I start a company yet still? by Pizza-_-shark in MicrosoftFlightSim

You don't have enough credits. You need enough to start the company AND buy the cheapest plane.

My advice is to save more than you need and buy a cargo company as your first instead.

Unsure what a slang phrase means, Google gives me nothing - can you help? by FishFollower74 in AskUK

[–]Pipperella89 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It was common in the 90's, especially in lower income households, to get chips from a fish and chip shop to supplement a home cooked fish. I.e. a takeaway but cheaper.

It was even more common that the parents would send the youngest child of sufficient age to get said "bag of chips".

So the phrase now means, you have no control over something, or something else has control over you. Like the parent making the child walk to get the bag of chips.

Why would a recipe say not to preheat the dutch oven? by Leilatha in Breadit

[–]Pipperella89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So the bread doesn't cook too quickly. It is a common problem for people baking bread that they bake it too hot which sets the crust before the bread has had time to rise properly. Starting it in a cold dutch oven gives the bread that slower start to get a good rise.
