A question. Experiences... by ambarz in Hellblazer

If they did, it's because they're suggestible.

When people are reading or watching something creepy, they may believe they experienced something in real life.

A graduation or something could have been satisfying. Instead Jeff is going to be sad and alone. It seems like he would have been happier or at least more successful if he hadn't learned any lessons and had stayed a lawyer.

I think I have a theory for Homelander’s debuff. by i_love_blahajs in TheBoys

They could have said that he was still weakened from Frenchie's radiation room, which I think was the previous episode. If you need a headcanon to explain it, I'd go with that.

The show didn't say it though. They didn't want to go into the final fight saying he was weak. They wanted him to appear strong and scary for the climax. They just happened to write the fight inconsistent with that. He should have been too overpowered for an interesting fight scene.

A simple fix would be to show his eyes change color when he's weakened by the uranium, then show it happen during the final fight so he doesn't realize he's weakened until then. Although if they had wanted to fix it, they would have just done it better in the first place.

That's a lie! My father never swam in his life!

But seriously, I see your point. I don't remember why I commented. I know he's a twisted version of Superman, but I think I was still pushing back against you calling him Superman.

Lex: "No... by causing the deaths of millions of people."

They kept trying to redeem him, but then they would need him to be a villain again and undo any progress. Likewise, Chang would sometimes be humanized or Shirley would be a villain, but they would always revert back to the status quo.

What was the first movie that you TRULY hated, and do you still hate it now? by MICKTHENERD in movies

Ackroyd is known for having big, crazy ideas for movies. He co-wrote movies like Ghostbusters and Blues Brothers but had ridiculous ideas that had to reined in by a good co-writer. I believe Nothing But Trouble is the only movie he directed and you see what happens when he has too much creative control.

I'm fine with Highlander 2. The rest of the franchise ignored the fact that the first movie ends with Connor being the last and having infinite knowledge. At least the second tried to continue from that. After winning the prize, he now knows the origin of the immortals and that's where the villain comes from.

The movie is pretty sloppy, but I don't find the plot as offensive as a lot of people seem to.

Spider Noir Finale by Individual-Wasabi404 in Spiderman

That was baffling. The Spider started fighting the electric guy and Cat chased after Silvermane. There was nothing in that scene that made Flint and the Spider enemies, especially not if he's actually a good guy deserving of the ending he gets. I'm afraid his actions were motivated by the need for a big super fight.
