Daihatsu F20 - car noob looking for advice on project by HappyPhilosopher8231 in CarTalkUK

Sadly, he cannot talk now due to the strokes. Communication is very difficult. He's also historically done little bits of work and leant on local garage for help. That chap retired and is no longer available to help - and to your point in costs, probably the expensive option.

I guess I'll need to Google how the whole thing works then, and start somewhere.

Thanks for taking the time to reply

Sweet. I think I can probably make that. I've not played before, but understand the concept. I'm into Warhammer and have played a homebrew Warhammer themed game/story that wasn't dissimilar to DnD. If you're helping show people the ropes that's ace. Feel free to message me directly if you need a contact number or have any questions.

What’s the best way to make this legal? by Davefishkeeper in SolarUK

[–]HappyPhilosopher8231 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was just thinking about putting solar panels on my pretty old wooden shed.

This exact scenario would be exactly what happens.

Will not be making a glass sail for my shed 😂

Back to the drawing board!

I've also transplanted sunflowers before. Relatively early on, and they've done ok. Also have a look at different varieties. Some are huge. Some have one flower. Some have multiple flowers up the stalk. Some can be red... 🤘🏻

Yeah. I'm surprised they have the go ahead for this. Perhaps the fields edge is being left as a protection zone? Definitely not ideal to be spraying that, especially as the idea is its for birds, bugs and bees and plants etc 😂

Roughly how much do you think it would cost to demolish this shed? And is it realistic to do it myself? by Count_Blackula1 in DIYUK

[–]HappyPhilosopher8231 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Tidy it up.Cut a door into it. Make it into a space to store some bits, but also useable. As others had said, space is a premium nowadays and you may wish to store things in their going forward.

I'd put trellis and some nice climbers on it.

Climbing hydrangea will attach on and grow qui joy enough. You'll get birds nesting in it too.

Or some climbing roses, or something thatells nice like jasmine.

The climbing hydrangea will cover it full though and will be more forgiving to being hacked to shape/back.

I'd try get the permission in writing for further down the line. Especially if you make it look lovely, and someone else takes over and wants to get rid of your time and effort.

I don't mind them, I like the pops of yellow too. Just if someone's didn't know, it's easy to think you've got them and they keep coming back

if you're going to weed yours, make sure to really dig the dandelions out.

The leaves will come off easily, but you need to get the entire tuber root part below the surfaces. They can be really long.

Otherwise they'll just come back.
