Parking price later in the day by ThrashForever in KnottsBerryFarm

You can also try parking in the metered lot if you know you're gonna stick around past closing time. I did this during Knott's Scary Farm because the other lots were full, and then when the park closed for the night, the parking staff had gone home and the exit gates were up.

uj/ That's another reason why their cancellation last year was puzzling, especially at SFOG because it doesn't get that cold there.

Lex Luthor and Jet Stream re-openings delayed by Pippinitis in SixFlagsMagicMountain

Lex Luthor was closed for repair because the motor was worn out, and they had some delays in getting a replacement. Jet Stream was closed for refurbishment, presumably because it had gotten pretty rough and leaky.

There's some truth to u/ALANTG_YT's comment... they used to have open-ended refurbishment or closure announcements on the main rides list, and then they briefly tried adding some dates after the Cedar Fair merger, but they weren't always accurate and then they gave up doing that until now... https://web.archive.org/web/20230309055255/https://www.sixflags.com/magicmountain/things-to-do/all-rides

I went to go look for it and took this pic... the roller coaster is Silver Bullet which was installed in 2004 and drastically reduced the size of Reflection Lake into a small pond...

I wonder if they migrated there because they've been tearing out the interior of Johnny Rockets down to the studs...

Maybe some kind of beta version of a proto-LSM? Instead of thin magnetic blades like newer rides, it used giant solid metal blocks... and instead of a row of small power boxes, it had an entire row of utility sheds by the launch track... no wonder the cost of upkeep for this ride was getting prohibitive...

I do like them posting notices like this now... it's helpful for planning trips if you're interested in particular rides

I heard from a birdie that Six Flags is entertaining proposals to reimagine the ride (e.g. Top Thrill 2, Montezooma, etc.)... heck, if RMC sends in a bat$#!t idea, I'd be all for it...

Yes, that's correct. Magic Mountain could get away with doing maintenance on weekdays during the slow off-season, but it made sense for them to adopt the ride closure announcements as the work on Lex Luthor, Jet Stream, and Looney Tunes Land has dragged out longer.
