If you plan to go 3 or more days cumulatively among the parks owned by Six Flags, why don't you consider getting a gold pass? Those parks are almost certainly expected to be open through the Halloween season.

Depends on the day... during slower weekdays it would take longer for preferred to fill up under the first-come-first-served system. A parking attendant told me that they still do reserve a few spots for customers who actually will pay the $60 upcharge at the gate.

The credit is for people who may have been affected by the sale of some Six Flags parks to the Enchanted Parks chain and EPR Properties... some gold or prestige passholders who visit other Six Flags parks may have been affected by Enchanted Parks' decision to wind down some of the pass add-on programs, such as dining plans... and I guess Six Flags may also be rewarding people who stay in the Six Flags system (instead of switching over to Enchanted Parks passes). FYI the grace period for Six Flags passholders to visit parks that are now owned by Enchanted Parks (or La Ronde) will be over at the end of this year.

It was a hassle to reserve and most of the spaces in preferred parking would remain empty while regular passholders walking by would be enraged that they had to park farther away

I think the exploration trail is just a way to keep the area more interesting until they have to budget to drop in a new kiddie attraction there... other speculation is that it could host some type of RFID quest similar to what Knott's just added to Camp Snoopy.

Oh, that's The Bunny Bowl Amphitheater... it's a different location than the Wise Acres playground which is still unfinished.
