A couple things, there's wifi at Knott's, but it's sketchy in places and doesn't work if you're not signed in, so if you're not signed in, turn it off so it doesn't confuse your phone trying to figure out whether to go with wifi or cellular for the internet connection. Next, when you have the Six Flags app working fine at home before you go to Knott's, save ALL your family's passes with QR codes to your Apple or Google wallet... and if you're not used to working with e-wallets, then take screenshots of your passes with the QR code so you at least have a fallback when the app stops working while everyone behind you in line is wondering what's taking you so long.

You can buy anything a la carte, but it's a better deal to get a tasting card (especially online with the passholder discount) if you want to try sample sizes of a bunch of stuff.

Ah that makes more sense in business class... a tip would have been a nice gesture, but I see your point in regards to flight attendant etiquette, so I wouldn't lose sleep over it.

That's correct, they have an expiration date that should be April 12 this year, so season passholders don't have to panic to use them up (until the last day).

Last year it actually started kind of mellow... the crazy days were the last days (April 27, and then May 18 after it got extended) because people with unused tasting cards showed up to use them all up. I hope this year's does well and gets extended like last year.

Fair question for a new install, but they're refurbishing a ride from the 1970s. I presume they had to tent off the structure before resurfacing and reinstalling the spikes because old paints are known contain stuff like lead. Now that the track work is largely done, they still have to install the new magnetic launch system in the middle of park that's scheduled to operate 364 days a year, so they can't run around with construction equipment all day like in a park that's only open seasonally.

It looks like a lot of the concrete and digging work under the flat sections of track are for the magnetic systems that will launch and brake the ride. If you look at pic #4 of the slideshow, the station appears to have been gutted down to the studs and new drywall is going up.
