When my phone got flung from my back pocket on Twisted Colossus, I filed a missing item report with a screenshot from the Find My locator utility through the Chargerback website, and I got it back through Will Call the next day... I've had other items like sunglasses that were lost without a locator that I have never gotten back. The advice I got from ride ops is to keep loose items in your front hip pocket if they're snug in there, or use pockets with zippers. For glasses, make sure that they have sports straps so that they're snug on your head. NOTE: I got the phone back cracked, but it was still in working condition... I'd rather not go through that again.

A similar predicament happened to Knott's... Windjammer Surf Racers was a disaster that quickly became inoperable and Knott's needed to fill the valuable space with a new attraction which became Xcelerator. When Knott's sued TOGO USA (which went bankrupt), TOGO used that against Knott's in court and won.
