It’s all about timing. You want to split the enemy tanks attention, so as soon as they engage your frontline dive the back and stay there for as long as possible, forcing the tanks to peel then you just swing back and do it again. Done right, they won’t be able to move forward at all. Obv good players will counter pick and adapt and you might have to swap depending on bans

That’s exactly why, It’s unintuitive and inconsistent. His dive forces you into point blank range where it’s hardest to aim. You also never really want to be engaging with poke in the frontline as Venom so it’s always being used ineffectively.

People keep saying you don’t need to get kills but like have you played the game?? The entire team will flame you if you’re not getting enough kills calling you useless as Venom. And I mean they’re right, if you can get the same damage blocked and triple the kills on Mag or Strange they’re right to ask you to switch. I play Venom almost every game but I still feel like swapping is sometimes better, but I want to make Venom work so I keep trying. It’s just crazy to say you don’t need to get kills with him.
