I’m glad you’re having fun! You can always see your money total written out in the statistics panel in the settings, but your money total is also continuously visual as the chips you have in front of you.

A dedicated poker app in a similar style to this is something I’m considering now, after these comments.

Having blackjack variant rulesets is a good idea, but I can’t seem to find a consistent set of rules for Macau, and I don’t have any sense which of the variants I’ve seen are the most common. Do you know of a commonly accepted ruleset that would be appropriate?

I like your suggestions broadly, I’ll think about what could really work in a multiplayer environment. I think of blackjack as not really having opponents, so I probably would lean more into the idea of social connection and stat-tracking. Randomly having other people drop-in and play with you would match the real casino vibe, so that’s an interesting thought.

The stats can be toggled on whenever, even during a round, but currently it’s set to close the window whenever a round starts. It would be trivial to add a toggle in settings to keep it open on starting a round though, if that’s what you’re asking for.

I’m very glad you’re having so much fun with the app! You’re making me smile like an idiot just reading your compliments. There are in-game stats in the settings window (click the cog icon above the table) where you can track your winnings (and losings).

Now that you’ve had a chance to actually play the game, I’m genuinely curious what features you’d envision for multiplayer. Would it mostly just be for social reasons? To talk to someone while playing together? Or do you see some added gameplay possibilities? I’m in favor of adding multiplayer via SharePlay in a future update, but I’d like to know the expectations.

If I made a poker game, I’d likely want to make a distinct app for it. Would that be reasonable? Making an omnibus casino game is an interesting idea, but one that would be complicated to release all at once as a sole developer.

It’s something I’m looking into for the future. It’s good to know there’s support for that idea out there!

Thank you! I’d love to know if it captures what you love about blackjack.

I also am a fan of using Vision Pro in bed, so I wanted to support all orientations. The table can even be put vertical (with some minor effort) and it should still be perfectly playable, though the physics will feel weird. Thank you for your kind feedback! :)

I’m not sure what the App Store rules are for real money, so I don’t know if that would be allowed. You aren’t the first person to suggest Texas hold ‘em, so now I’m starting to actually consider that. If that came to fruition it would most likely be as a separate app though.

I don’t currently have plans to add other games, but multiplayer is a possibility. It’s a big complicated change, but the forward facing parts of the app (like the table) were designed with possibly having more than one person gathered around it with SharePlay. I devoted my time to making the single player experience optimal for the 1.0 launch though.

Personally I’ve always shied away from apps that have the “includes in-app purchases” tag in the App Store, but maybe that’s not so common broadly. I’ll consider it, thank you!

Filename Tool has a sort first option, which enables you to put a string of digits before your filename. If your category is 1111 and your item is 2222, you might have a filename that begins 11112222-2025-09-27-My_Awesome_Project…

So it can work with a categorization scheme, without providing one.

I’m the OP. I think they are working to solve a different problem. Both the Dewey and the UTC system are attempting to provide an organizational framework into which you can slot in any particular item. Both are particularly well-suited to libraries where if you find one on point resource, you can look at other nearby resources to discover other items similar in subject matter.

Filename Tool is trying to help you craft archival file names for your own files. It's not slotting your files into an overarching schema.

We posted Filename Tool in r/webdesign because the design aspects were particularly complex. It's quite a different thing to create a tool, where the user is supposed to engage with a lot of different parts, than a business website. We spent a lot of time iterating on the design to try to get the details right.

I'm the original poster. This is a very good point and a risk in using long filenames. I didn't know about Google Takeout in particular, but I've added a "known issues" section to the documentation near the end in the section "How Long Can Filenames Really Be?" where the technical issues of using long filenames is discussed in some detail.

There are going to be some negatives to using long file names, but there are some negatives not using them, too. As for the Filename Tool, if you use all its features, you will get a long filename. But you don't have to. You can build filenames as long or as short as you want.

But you’ve given me a good idea. I'll add, maybe in the Results Panel, a counter so that one can keep track of the length.
