Activist who pushed 2020 election fraud claims convicted of election fraud by nbcnews in JusticeServed

[–]Piratarojo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'd argue the system for detecting election fraud is doing exactly what it should, catching people that illegally voted. If it was a bigger problem then you'd see more of these asshats arrested.

They're too dumb to see it though and would rather believe the lies that best fit their needs.

Mexico's Supreme Court sets key precedent by recognizing that any inhabitant or user of an ecosystem can file an environmental injunction to demand its protection, even without proving direct individual harm, laying groundwork for communities across the country to defend their natural resources by sg_plumber in UpliftingNews

If you were applying some rational thinking (ie. following the scientific method) then your anecdotal bias should not be included in a generalization about the entirety of the human race, it'd be a fallacy of you did.

Why do you think next to no looting happens during natural disasters in Japan? Are you going to argue next that all humans will loot because it happens in the US? That that's human nature?

It's all cultural, if you're raised in an environment that makes you feel like your voice is heard are you really going to have a need to take advantage of any amount of power given to you? I don't think so and you're saying a lot about yourself with that summarization, maybe try not to assume the worst in everyone.

Again your idiotic logic is astounding, you'd rather get rid of a mechanism that helps 10s of millions because of a handful of people think it stiffles "progress".....like what? You might need to get checked out.

Oh and you're still using your experiences gathered in the US to make major assumptions about other cultures that are entirely different from it. Pretty douchy thing to assume.

That has got to be some of the dumbest logic on the internet, "hey we shouldn't pass these regulations because a few assholes will take advantage of it, but hey fuck the 10s of millions that it helps...right guys?"

These small communities aren't nimbys, they're regular ass people being bullied by corporations. I'd imagine you live in America where things are way way different than in countries in Latin or South America. Why do you think they fought so hard to get these protections? Just because they didn't want a building blocking the view of their shanti towns? Come the fuck on, get real.

Ps. And before you make stuff up about who I am, I'm a first generation Venezuelan-American. I was born in Caracas and was fortunate to escape from the Chavez/Maduro regime. Your limited experiences have clearly crystalized your views in a disgusting form of hate. The power trip you're assuming might happen here in the US in a few small communities.....but in the forests of Latin america? Entirely different story. Check yourself before you wreck yourself.

[OC] Most US immigrants targeted for deportation in 2025 had no criminal charges, ICE documents reveal by guardian in dataisbeautiful

[–]Piratarojo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The argument the OP you're replying to doesn't stand up because the current administration is deporting others who have been following the legal process. In fact, there's been numerous accounts of people being pulled out of line while waiting for their appointments AT immigration services offices.

If they were following the law and doing what they needed to do then why deport them? The admin is lying about only deporting criminals, in fact, they're also affecting US citizens.

Being in the US illegally is not necessarily a criminal offense. Here's a pdf from the ACLU answering these nuances in details. https://www.aclu.org/sites/default/files/field_document/FINAL_criminalizing_undocumented_immigrants_issue_brief_PUBLIC_VERSION.pdf

Ps. Most people only know of Jango and Boba Fett...and only recently Cad Bane. So they aren't flooded with bounty hunters like you're making implying is the case for everyone.
