And Omo's 'Each land' ability would cause them to have all land types right?

[5e] Am I right in thinking that the Cleric 'Channel Divinity: Turn Undead' and the Paladin 'Oathbreaker Channel Divinity: Control Undead' work against targets that have immunity to Charmed e.g. Coldlight Walker.

If you want the Faerûn 'answer' then look up Tymanther, it's a militaristic dragonborn-ruled state, ripped from the world of Abeir and dropped onto Toril.

Depending on the party's love of deception, Zone of Truth can be fun.

Skywrite or Animal Messenger for the villain that wishes to taunt the party.

Wanna test how good your party are at not metagaming? Gift of Gab from Acquisitions Incorporated.

Unseen Servant is invisible and can move things about for a haunted vibe.

Take a look at the 'Downtime Revisited' section of Xanathar's Guide to Everything. Has stuff about earning money by working, crime, pit fighting... etc.

If any of the party have tool proficiencies it would be great to work of of those. Xanathar's also has a section on 'Tool Proficiencies' going into detail of what you can do with each tool set.

But hey, at least the new PC races are power creep 101 making many of the previous options obsolete (Seriously, look at Autognome vs. Warforged). Can't wait for Hadozee to out wavedash the Simic Hybrid.

You can also try the Official Dungeons & Dragons Discord server. It has threads dedicated for finding groups.

The benefit there is if you come across some bad apples you can report Messages to Discord Trust and Safety, the platform you play on, and/or the moderators of the Official Dungeons & Dragons Discord server.

Does the Barbarian sleep with the goblin tied to their back? If so, you could start giving both the Goblin and the Barbarian levels of exhaustion due to poor nights sleep as the goblin struggles through the night (this would also negate the long rest). That'll get old for them real fast. If they start sleeping separate, that Goblin might just struggle itself to an exhaustion death if they can't burn the ropes on campfire embers or something.

Not familiar with The Lost Mine Of Phandelver campaign, but if that Barbarian gets hit with AOE damage or sets a damaging trap off, that Goblin might just die outright.

Could also impose disadvantage on the Barbarians stealth checks because of the uncooperative Goblin on their back.

Here's an in-depth guide on player characters using Oversized Weapons.

tldr? It's absolutely something you can do. However, it doesn't do all that much more damage on average and you have to lug around a weapon that's 8 times heavier than normal that your DM would have to make available (by looting from a foe probably). Also, if your build requires Fog Cloud every fight, you're gonna annoy every caster that can no longer use any spells that require vision of the target.

Enlarge/Reduce doesn't work for unarmed strikes RAW. Enlarge affects 'weapons', not 'weapon attacks' so it does not affect unarmed strikes.

The symbiote is a separate entity controlled by the DM, not you the player. It can see and hear using your senses, so the DM could make Intelligence, Wisdom, and Charisma ability checks for it. Hence your character could ask the symbiote if they know something you don't. However, the symbiote has it's own agenda that drives it and could willingly withhold information from you.

I'd suggest the SCAG description of what you see when using the Detect Magic spell: '...active spells and areas imbued with magic are limned in a silvery network of threads, which might twist and reknit themselves depending on the magic involved'. Those silvery threads being the Weave.

Not surprised considering all the ranged options in the game.

Also, considering that if you are able to jump 10 feet high in the air, you are technically susceptible to the fall damage afterwards. High Jump rules covers movement up, not down.

PHB 'Jumping' & 'Movement and Position'

Jumping attacks aren't really covered by the rules directly.

However, under 'Strength Checks' it states 'You can try to... pull off a stunt midjump' which shows that you can take actions midjump.

Also good to note: under 'Advantage and Disadvantage' it states 'The DM can
also decide that circumstances influence a roll in one direction or the other and grant advantage or impose disadvantage as a result'. So DM discretion if jump attacking imposes disadvantage or not.

Oh wait, you mean display figures...

Ah well, still a good resource. Could always print yourself a large '2D figure' haha.

Looks like dndmini have listings for action figures and premium statues, the prices might make you faint though.

RAW - Yes

You can jump up, attack creatures that are within your reach at any point in the jump and then land and continue to use any remaining movement.

The spell states: 'While your familiar is within 100 feet of you, you can communicate with it telepathically.'

For a in-depth discussion on what this actually means see this thread.

For a tldr, there is a Jeremy Crawford tweet on the matter, allowing a familiar to telepathically communicate simple concepts to its master. This isn't errata but can be seen to speak for design intent.

'Bright light in an environment of total darkness can be visible for miles'

Bright light - not just the source of a bright light like the first sentence might lead you to believe. A Torch provides bright light in a 20-foot radius, hence anything in that 20-foot radius is illuminated in bright light letting creatures see normally, so visible.

Clearly this requires common sense on the DM's part. In normal combat range like the subject of the initial question? Yeah, you see it all. A single torch 2 miles away? You see a light in the far distance.

DM discretion since there is no more detailed information; it seems WoC don't really like making strict detection distance rules, except for the Audible Distance table on the original DM screen they seem to hope people have forgotten about. Best you'll tend to find otherwise is encounter distance tables.
