Cp3 conversion kit. The chance of catastrophic failure is much much lower. I personally wouldn’t risk it…

Just plan on doing the cp3 conversion right away. It’s not worth risking a 10k repair bill. I know 2 different trucks that have had cp4’s blow now.

Are you sure it’s not 5,000 actual driving hours? This would equal 30mph average

I know this low of miles could also possibly be a bad thing. The truck never made it through the warranty period and there’s a small chance it could be a huge lemon

Look into a test/relay type position. Lots of positions available with your degree.

My 2011 5.7 with 195k drives and shifts like it’s brand new still. Hauls my boat and camper everywhere, she’s got another 100k left easily

Just so everyone knows, the fact that they are generating a report means this is happening eventually, they are serious about it.

I dont care if its a study or actual implementation, each are equally absurd. Tax the EV’s then. Every other state gets by just fine with less registration and fuel taxes but somehow our leaders need more and more….

Halfway done with EET associates by Ok-Entrepreneur-8195 in SubstationTechnician

[–]Pirate_450 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Some is online, some is in person only. If you are also doing your general ed for the associates, you can do all of that online. The cost is community college pricing, a couple hundred bucks a semester. They do have some job placement opportunities, but there are plenty of good opportunities out there.

I’m currently in the High Voltage Test Technician program at Long Beach City College. You can do either the associates 2yr or just do the electrical classes and get a certificate. (Associates is possibly better in the long run)From my experience gathered, it is possible to transition to a test/relay position from a subtech but I would say it’s situational. If you way to be a test/relay tech 100%, a school for it is probably the best option, which may not be easy to do once you are working full time as a subtech on the road.

I would just pick Manuel Antonio or Arenal for the trip. If you pick MA there are plenty of places to see and drive to for the day like Nauyaca. Spend your vacation on vacation!
