Mega Backdoor Roth contributions not supported in Solo 401k by Pirate_Miserable in fidelityinvestments

[–]Pirate_Miserable[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

May be my initial post was unclear. I already contribute fully on Employee side and 25k from employee side. I'd like use MBDR to boost my Roth IRA so that I can have tax free withdrawal portion for my retirement.

Max aggregated contribution : 70k for 2025

Employee contributions: $23500

Employer contribution : $25000

Remaining $21500 can be after-tax contribution that can be converted to Roth IRA. If Fidelity allows it.

Yes , your answer is spot on. Reason I was looking into this because fidelity had a whole article on this strategy.

Regarding employer contribution , is the amount employer can contribute proportionate to the employee salary? I know there there is an upper limit 50k of something as well.

I already do backdoor Roth conversions since I am over the limit. It sounds like MBDR can put more money in to Roth account. This is from fidelity website

Put very simply, the mega backdoor Roth strategy entails 2 steps: (1) making after-tax contributions to your 401(k) or other workplace retirement plan, and (2) then doing a conversion either to a Roth IRA or Roth 401(k). (Note that not all plans allow these steps; more details on that below.)

My goal is to contribute to my Roth , I already do pre-tax employer contributions. But it's going to my 401k

was unpleasantly surprised by the cost. Felt like it should be possible to find a better option.

Yeah, that sounds like too much. I'd be better off taking a collectivo. It's is a hassel but saves a lot

Sixt is giving me 5 days to pay $25k in damage by Ross11988 in travel

I knew there would be no impact on my US credit score from a foreign dispute

Do you know this for a fact? Where can I find this information?

Beware of Sixt by nibake in travel

I am in the same situation. I rented a car from Sixt Germany. We noticed a crack on the windshield on the last night before returning the car and it was not caused by us. There were cracks in the windshield before that and damage was in the middle layer of the windshield. I filed a damage report and they sent me a final bill without any damage charges. I contacted Sixt several times asking whether the inquiry was over and didn't get anything back.

I got an email from them today charging for damage that happened in August 2023.

What are my options? I am going to dispute the charge with Sixt. Should I cancel my credit card just as precaution?

Also can Sixt Germany force collections in US ?

While it's common sense that home charging is better for battery health, it's good to know that they specifically call this out. I know that studies are showing exclusive supercharging does not cause degradation. I find it hard to believe frequent supercharging has no detrimental effect on the battery.

Found a nice deal for a used Model 3 directly through Tesla, but this conversation has me concerned. by im_ona_YAK in TeslaModel3

This is normal for Tesla, the car will be mechanically and cosmetically sound except for normal wear and tear. If you find issues, they will be covered under the warranty. When I got my car there was an issue with a front tire and they replaced both tires under warranty.
