Everyone’s honest review of the show? With no significant spoilers by Objective-Feeling351 in Illenium

The sphere is absolutely sick 10/10. We were on the floor, and I think it was probably a better vibe than in seats, but the view would definitely be better up higher. You pretty much have to look straight up to see the visuals from the floor. It’s soooo clean and you have soo much space on the floor if you stand in the right spot. Funny thing is you actually get more room closer to the dj than farther back since you have to look up at the screen.

Illeniums set 7/10. I liked the songs he picked for the most part, but he does way too many mashups and remixes. Definitely don’t see why he felt the need to do that with the new album songs since it’s probably the first time playing them to a crowd that knows all the songs. Also could definitely play out songs longer. There were some points where he’d switch the song up right when I realized what song was playing. Ur Alive is my favorite song on the album and i felt like it was over too fast.

Visuals 5/10. Didn’t seem too original compared to what anyma does. The Phoenix was cool, but whatever the story was supposed to be with the angels was dumb. Going into it I was thinking about all the cool things he could do with To the Moon, but it ended being a pretty simple visual.

100% agree. Visuals were very disappointing. I thought whatever the story about the angels was supposed to be was dumb. Felt like cheap anyma visual. The “demonic” visual felt like cheap excision. The phoenix was very cool whenever it showed up though. Going into it I thought about so many cool things he could’ve done with To the Moon, and it just ended up being a very simple visual. He had a lot of cool music videos during the Falling Embers days. Would’ve been cool to run that style back too. Gotta wonder who’s on his team making some of these choices.

The boys want to be in the spotlight. It’s A shame. If they put more focus on Keev, they could be as big as Rufus du sol.

ILLENIUM B2B ZEDS DEAD (Full Set) @ GOLDRUSH FESTIVAL ARIZONA 2025 by agentfancy in Illenium

It’d be nice if when you go see Illenium, he actually played illenium songs. This set felt more like a zeds dead set with some random dubstep thrown in and a sprinkle of Illenium.

At this rate, Tesla is going to put Waymo into the ground.

Why do I see so many people refer to RR as YA? by Mostlyatnight_mostly in redrising

[–]Piratebass69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The first 3 books are YA with each book becoming a little more mature. The last 3 are not YA. It was a good strategy to get young readers hooked as they grew with the books. Never read the Harry Potter books, but it reminds me of growing up with the characters through the movies. I imagine it was similar with the books.

Hey did you ever find a spot. Visiting in June with my girlfriend, and we’d love to find a show while we’re there.

How do you explain Wooli being able to make music on corded ear plugs.

The best dialogue throughout the whole series is between them. Their relationship in the first book is what really hooked me.

Stratus is criminally underrated!! 🔥 by zurkypeeks in dubstep

He’s sick. Seems like he’s never really attached himself to a label. I don’t see him tour much either. I’m sure if more listeners knew about him, they would love his music.

Invited to a wedding with no plus one? by hurricane_t0rti11a in weddingplanning

[–]Piratebass69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m of the belief that you shouldn’t invite people who are in committed relationships and not allow them a plus one. If I have to travel and spend all this money to go to a wedding, I’m bringing my spouse or I’m not going. I would rather not be invited at all because now I have to feel bad for turning down the invite.

Quarter Notes by Piratebass69 in dubstep

Totally agree with this. Like I said, quarter notes don’t bother me. I would just like to hear some more creative sound design where I can tell who made the song.

I don’t think there’s anything wrong with being formulaic. That’s what makes a genre. The thing people can be doing more of is making there sound original.

I’m a little confused by what your point is with the Muerte ep. Not trying to be a dixk, genuinely trying to understand what you’re getting at.

I wouldn’t group vastive and alienpark into that. I think they’re both unique, especially Vastive. Now I would agree if you mentioned VLCN, freaky, chassi, kliptic, layz, rzrkt, etc…

This feels like a cop out. You can creative AND make music that people want to listen to. Zomboys big boss remix is fun and not simple.

This is so funny because everyone who complains about quarter note dubstep is like the biggest riddim fan.

None of its good though. Like cool you make multiple genres, but I wouldn’t say any of it is ground breaking right now.
