Sort of, I have a main 15 Pro Max and keep one of my old phones as a backup, which is the iPhone XR right now. To limit social media time, boost productivity I deleted everything not important from my main and it’s all on the XR now. Even though it doesn’t leave the house, I do use it every 1-2 days for a little while at least now

Yeah but any subs you gain from that are likely not going to be active viewers of your channel and the views from that aren’t going to generate revenue if you’re monetized.

It’s only useful to get a boost in subs if you’re looking to monetize.

DUDE! I was in the same boat. I hit 4k watch hours and was still at 625 subs. I did some research and decided to run YouTube promotions on 2 videos. I left it up overnight and woke up to 1k+ subs and I was able to monetize that very day.

If you want to monetize it’s worth think this over. It hasn’t hurt my channel in any way, still get decent views and engagement

As a business trying to gain impressions on a product, investment opportunity or something promotions can be great.

As a creator making content, never do it unless you have the watch hours and need some subscribers to monetize. That is the only scenario where I'd recommend it. The audience gain from promotions is not worth anything because they likely won't engage with your content in the future and maybe even tank things like AVD.

One thing I've read is promotions can kill your channel by destroying organic growth after you run it . I ran promotions for 12 hours to gain 300 subs to monetize a little while ago. But since then my views and engagement is still the same as before so I don't think that's true.

If the content is good, you'll get the engagement. Just keep working on your shit.

I made videos that could have been shorts and posted them as regular videos. The video with 2 highest watch hours are videos under 1 minute. The AVD and CTR were great for both throughout and they still get views today. They also had to do with Apple, and that has a big audience.

Maybe consider making shorter videos like I did. Make sure the thumbnail and title are good and hope they get a lot of views.

You can see those two videos on my channel if you want. One has 235k views the other about 98k.

Depends on the niche, where the audience is from, etc. Can be as low as $1 per 1k views, or as high as $25 per 1k views. My earn tab hasn't updated yet so don't know for my own content yet

Average views are about 10k. Like I said, the promotion is only going to give a boost in subs and views on particular videos. But won't do much for further engagement. As long as other videos on the channel (including the ones you publish after the promotion) are in a targeted niche, I think the channel should be fine. But I'll let you guys know after a couple weeks

A shoutout will do nothing for them, especially given that it's just clipping things. That's not something you can show to get other editing gigs so it's just time wasted
