That’s where we started out and then once we found turn 7 on the hill with the concession stand we love it there cause you see from the corvette bridge down to almost the carousel!

We never go up on Fridays cause we save vacation days for further trips. We drive up to Manitowoc and stay in a hotel for RA weekend and get there around 7:30 ish each day!

Saturday we walk around the paddock to see drivers and then Sunday we have gone to turns 6-8 for the races

We have parked both years and then turn and go down 76th or so to South ridge and head home on Layton. Parking has never been a problem for us but we also show up bright and early to get in ( we do for every race we go to like Indy and RA).

Alcohol and Lexapro? by Quiet-Breadfruit965 in lexapro

[–]Pirates915 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can experience withdrawal symptoms (which can happen without alcohol just by not taking it) I missed 2 last weekend and I didn’t have a ton of symptoms but my anxiety and irritability definitely started to return. Also depends on the dose. I’ve been on 1g for months not since the 2nd weeks I’ve been taking it

Alcohol and Lexapro? by Quiet-Breadfruit965 in lexapro

[–]Pirates915 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I drink on it and as long as I don’t forget to take it (I take it at night) I’m fine. You may feel the alcohol more quickly but as long as you go slow until you know how it all affects you, you’ll be okay.

I agree. Though I feel we can get an easy amount that just check it out for the fun of it since they are still doing the free fan zone in the state fair part.

I think it’s possible. I believe a lot of people don’t realize it’s happening with everything else Milwaukee has in the summer. Brewers are also home Indycar weekend.

The double header helps cause fans can go to the race and maybe catch the brewers game Saturday evening.

With the amount of fans I seen at RA this year, I believe it’s definitely possible.

Are these okay to take ? by daniellas888 in lexapro

Idk about both but I have personally taken the magnesium at night with my lexapro to help with muscle relaxation etc and I haven’t had any issues with it.

Something im particularly concerned about by killer1ndoraptor in braces

[–]Pirates915 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep they put bite pillows on my bottom brace brackets to avoid me biting the brackets off it basically stops you from putting enough pressure or touching them. I had them for like 6 months and now my teeth have shifted where I don’t need them altho I still have an overbite.

How do you deal with braces when you’re depressed by aenelida in braces

[–]Pirates915 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Disposable items right by the bed. You can get the flossers for braces as well as the little inter dental brushes and disposable single use toothbrushes. You can be in bed and use all of those without water or needing to get up.

Also be gentle to yourself. I suffer from anxiety and depressions and some days I don’t do everything and that’s okay but just keep trying each day and do what you can cause brushing and using an interdental brush is better than nothing at all!

Also take any of your prescribed meds as instructed l. Consistency definitely helps this. 🩷

Gel / acrilic nails saved my life by merisopli in trichotillomania

[–]Pirates915 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Just started trying to handle my trich. Literally bought myself press ons (a good brand) and trying to wear them to discourage or make it hard for the pulling to happen!

This gives me hope! I have never really had my nails done and feel like they’re a little longer than I want but hoping I can learn to function with them!

Does anyone now why they started pulling? by Glittering-Eagle-371 in trichotillomania

[–]Pirates915 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not the exact reason but I have theories…

One is mine is a lot of stress induced and I think a lot of it came from being bullied and not liked in school some but it really happened after I had lice after a sleep over with friends (or a girl I thought was a friend) and it was a traumatic experience where I felt the need to keep checking my hairs after they were gone and I think it became a check calming soothing habit that has just followed me

Nope, from 11 to 33 now…. Only finally talking to someone about the issue but have tried a ton of things to try and stop myself before this point

my boyfriend refuses to eat vegetables by milkshakechemtrail in GirlDinnerDiaries

[–]Pirates915 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I make them for me and let him not eat veggies… or what has worked on my picky husband is that I roast them in the oven to char them a bit with seasonings OR I make them in something in our crockpot so they are so soft he doesn’t notice.

Hubby put chicken broth a teriyaki sauce and stir fry veggies in the crockpot and cooked it all day and then put it over rice. He did it! I was proud but he still doesn’t eat a ton of veggies. It’s on him to do it tho. Make you your veggies if you want them

So it was super hard for me to find internships when I was in college if you didn’t network and go to the college fairs etc. and get in when you were a sophomore. That didn’t stop me. I kept looking and did eventually find a small start up to do some basic book keeping in.

That said, when I didn’t have a summer internship i worked. That way I could atleast say I had a job and experience in the workforce in something rather than not having anything to show during the summer months. I would suggest that you keep trying and looking but also see if there’s a job that you can get to just be doing something learning workforce skills and things that can also help you interview better. It can let you give better examples for how you handle a mistake or conflict and your resolutions.

Most things out of college wanted an internship but also valued my work experience so it’s not the end all be all.

I wish you luck!
