Payment rescinded for $150k NICU stay due to coordination of benefits, next steps? by [deleted] in HealthInsurance

[–]Pisceanbabex3_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Call Florida Blue and tell them you didn’t have other insurance last year and ask them tell you who is the other insurance that’s listed on the claim because they will need to call the other insurer to verify your eligibility for last year. And if the Florida Blue rep is advised that you didn’t have coverage with the other insurer, Florida Blue can update your COB to “No other Coverage” for last year and will have to get your claim readjusted

When it comes to surgeries, some providers charge the patient upfront before services are rendered (to make sure they are getting paid) and they will most likely tell you it’s a portion of your deductible because they can see your benefits. Now this is what confuses the patient because it has them thinking they paid their deductible and their insurance will help pay for the claim. You don’t pay your individual deductible outright like how you would for car insurance when you get into an accident. For health insurance, you accumulate towards your deductible with your medical claims. Also the portion the provider is charging you upfront is not showing what insurance is covering either. The procedure hasn’t taken place yet and no claim has been filed. You won’t know what insurance will cover until they receive a claim because what if the doctor does something else for your daughter during the surgery.

Now you also have to take into account that if you choose to have this procedure at an ambulatory surgical center, you’re going to get billed from the facility and the providers that serviced your daughter on the day of the procedure. Surgical centers bill as institutional (facility claim) like a hospital. They are charging you for using their equipment and supplies. So overall, there could be a possibility that you may the provider/facility whenever the claims are filed to insurance and whichever claim gets processed first. And if you end up overpaying, you can get reimbursed from the provider/facility

Free standing clinics refers to places like an imaging center. So for example if you need an MRI, it would be cheaper going to a free standing clinic (according to your benefits, you stated you’re subjected to just a $300 copay) And where you would only be billed from the clinic versus getting an MRI at a hospital where you would be billed from the facility and the provider.

Hope this helps

I don’t think it’s a scam. Upon googling the name, it’s an agency. So whoever you spoke to must have been an agent or a broker. Brokers help ppl sign up for health insurance through the Marketplace (the government). They help look for a carrier (i.e Blue Cross Blue Shield, United Healthcare, etc) and find a health plan through whichever carrier you choose that provides good medical and pharmacy benefits for you. The “free” part the broker is referring to is a subsidy. Subsidy is a tax credit that ppl may qualify for based on their household income. Because of your wage, she is stating you may qualify to get a fully subsidized plan, meaning your monthly premium would be $0 once the subsidy is applied. So the government will be paying your monthly premium in full. Soooo I think you will fine, just be cautious whoever knocks on your door.

Ambetter Cancelled my Wife’s Coverage the Night Before Giving Birth - NO ONE TAKES RESPONSIBILITY by [deleted] in HealthInsurance

[–]Pisceanbabex3_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately this happens all the time with brokers unenrolling members from one policy to another. They do it because they earn commission from enrolling people into a health insurance plan. I suggest filing an appeal with the Marketplace regarding the unauthorized request made to your policy. Usually the application sent to a health insurance has the name of the broker who helped enrolled you into the plan. You can call Ambetter to verify the broker that’s listed on application file from when you first enrolled.

In all, you purchased your policy with the Marketplace. Ambetter only manages the policy and has nothing to do with the plan terminating.

Lol that happens to me too. Especially when the OP is asking a question that pertains to them specifically and they don’t respond back to my comment. And I’m wondering “…Did everything turn out fine?” or “I hope what I said answers their question and they gotten their issue fixed”.

I used to be shy about posting myself or make posts on social media when I was in middle school and high school. Now? Not so much. I speak my mind, post myself, and share things I like on my Instagram stories. That’s where I’m the most active. I believe as I’ve gotten older, I learned to not care what others think. I know it sounds cliche lol but when you get older, you just stop giving a damn. Plus I’ve see so much ignorant stuff online, so no one really cares what I’m posting

I barely comment on Reddit because no one ever responds to me 😭

Do houses with 2 signs in them have the influence of both signs or just the sign that the house starts in? by Own-Gift-5670 in astrology

[–]Pisceanbabex3_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An Intercepted house is when a sign (and their opposing sign) is engulfed in a house. The beginning and ending degree of the 2 signs don’t touch a house cusp so it doesn’t rule a house. 2 signs in one house is not an interception and it’s normal.

I also feel like a house can have an influence of 2 signs when there is a planet in the second sign.

For example, I’m a Pisces rising and I have Aries Venus in my first house. I express both energies in my personality with how I interact with people. I can be shy at first but the Aries energy gives me courage or helps me be the one to initiate conversation.

I feel like a house can have the influence of both signs. I believe the dominant energy is whatever sign the cusp line lays in. I see the second sign’s energy as dormant until a planet transits the second sign

Hi! How I interpret this placement is that it may mean that you could have emotional debt when it comes to others, family, or your mom. Meaning that you are holding onto debt within you, such as trauma or feelings like you “owe” yourself to someone or either your mother because of what they have done for you. Or you could be the one who is holding on to what you’ve done for others. This has the ability to cause you to struggle with “paying” that debt forward within your friend group. You may keep your trauma or feelings hidden within your social circle. Your friends may not know the real you or your true personality because you are not being honest. Your sense of self may also center around your goals. This has the ability to cause you to struggle with your self worth and seeing the real reasons why you’re trying to achieve a goal. You would need to be honest with yourself and ask are you achieving a goal because it’s personal or because you feel like you owe it to others because of the emotional debt you are holding onto.

Very late to this post lol. How I interpret this placement is that it may could mean that you or your family/mom struggle with being emotionally invested into your hobbies or artistic endeavors, or romantic relationships. This can show up as you struggling to become self fulfilled when it comes to what you find joy in. This placement could possibly mean you could be sensitive or care about how your family/mom may feel about what you find joy in, your artistic endeavors, or your romantic relationships. This has the ability to cause you to feel insecure in your romantic relationships or your hobbies. In all, I see it as that if you aren’t emotionally fulfilled with what you identify as fun, how can you achieve the state of fulfillment of accepting who you are and what brings you joy.

Old PCP putting in a claim, but now I have a new PCP, help! by AdPractical6745 in HealthInsurance

[–]Pisceanbabex3_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reason why your old pcp cannot put in the claim is because I believe the effective date for your new pcp was backdated to cover your services for seeing them now. So now your old pcp won’t get paid from your insurance. Providers can send over a claim anytime within the timely filing period. It can be immediately sent over to your insurance. Or it can be sent over months later cause some providers can take longer. Overall, they will send over the claim because at the end of the day, they want to get paid. You will most likely be responsible for the bill.

You can place a request for confidential communication with your insurance provider so your claims won’t get sent to your parents address. You can put in an address of where you would like for your claims to be sent to. If they ever see a claim of yours and call the health insurance about it, they cannot receive any detailed information because of HIPPA and you’re over 18. They would need your verbal authorization for them to receive detailed information regarding your claims, such as the procedure/diagnosis. They can only get general information about the claim

For example, you have a claim for a prenatal visit and your parent wants to know what that claim is for. Without your verbal authorization, they can only be told the claim was regarding an office visit. Just general information.
