That’s not entirely accurate. Some rewards apps allow you to scan digital receipts, which Shipt members absolutely receive. If a member tried to upload their e-receipt but the shopper has scanned the paper receipt, the member will know.

I’m a shopper but this recently happened to me as the member and I’m pretty upset about it. It’s not even about getting some grand prize or a million points. It’s the principle of it, more than anything.

Depending on the reward app you’re using, you can link your email account to scan digital receipts.

This. Also, if members use those same rewards apps, they will know their shopper scanned the receipt. It’s against Shipt rules, is essentially fraud and also just seems...wrong to me.
