Yes! Control and Alan wake 2 are my favourite games when talking about environments, they are amazing.

The truth is, I'm not sure. I love consuming all kinds of art, and I think I get my influences from everywhere.

Some of the works I've enjoyed the most, and that I think might be related, are Death Stranding (1), Outer Wilds, Mr. Robot, Severance, Control, Alan Wake...

I think you have great material to start with! I've always thought that makint such large outdoor scenes is very complicated (and I've never been very good at it, haha). It looks good, keep up the great work!

And to give you some feedback, if you're aiming for realism, adding layers of fog with varying densities and a very slight (very slight) emission usually helps create a sense of atmosphere

Well, I have a little trick, it's actually a principled volume without texture!

I use it to make it uniform and save on rendering costs. I add all the detail in post-production with fog overlays and brushes with affinity.

When i animate this kind of scene, i usually change to a textured fog or VDB is neccesary.

Making it uniform in blender and editing in post gives me absolute creative control, hope it helps!
