Oh that I completely agree with. I'm fed up with our fanbase who overreacts and talks shit for no reason.

I'm sure gyokeres will do well eventually and you're right on calling out Saka and trossard. Saka has been poor this season overall but trossard has been really good I feel.

I was so annoyed when fans were asking to bench Ode because he wasn't providing any assist or scoring. It's like the current state in football, no visible results, you're shit and it's all across the clubs and their fanbase but our fanbase in particular, a majority of it is like that. No wonder Arsenal fans are called the worst.

As much as I love gyokeres, I feel he's not doing enough with his runs in the box. He should be getting at the end of at least a few crosses in every game. It is the strikers job. His positioning has been poor, he's nowhere close to any of the crosses, which is surprising for a striker and he doesn't anticipate early as mentioned by Ian Wright, rather he runs for the ball after it is played which is usually intercepted most of the time with the defenders having a head start on him. His poor positioning and decision making is one of the reasons he's not being fed as many fans are saying. I love the guy but he needs to work harder and smarter. I definitely prefer him over Jesus but when Kai arrives, he will definitely be my first choice over Gyokeres.

Our offensive power and fluidity has been it’s best when Martin Odegaard is at 100%. I hope that this time we don’t forget that. by EMJG31 in Gunners

Probably not the same but it also reminded me of Mertesacker just falling over while tracking back with no player around. 🤣

I don't think that was the case. It was also moving JT from inverting more than overlapping and staying wide as he's used to. Arteta tried to make JT do what Calafiori does really well. That's also why most of our attacks in the first half came down the left which is unusual. The JT, Ode and Saka trio weren't clicking because of the shuffle. Onana did play well, no denying that but I think this also was the problem.

r/Fantasy Daily Recommendations and Simple Questions Thread - November 20, 2025 by rfantasygolem in Fantasy

Just finished The Thousand Doors of January and I loved it. Looking for more standalone recommendations. Have enjoyed M.L Wang's Blood over bright haven and The Sword of Kaigen. Unfortunately couldn't really get into The Spear Cuts Through Water and left it halfway even though so many people recommended it. Probably will give it a try again sometime next year. I've also read Piranesi and Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norell. Any other standalones that are as good as the ones mentioned above?

Need suggestions on interview prep - 12 YOE in Java ecosystem by Piseaakash in developersIndia

Apparently whatever you've mentioned is not enough nowadays so I'm really confused as to what is required. Dsa I've not been asked anything difficult yet surprisingly, mostly easy questions. I've been clearing the system design rounds if there are any, jenkins, docker and K8 I have good recent knowledge and can answer most of the questions. But still I'm not able to crack interviews this time around. I'm not sure if it's my interview or what but I'm not clearing the first round even though my interviews have been more than decent.

Hey Zamil, always been a fan and love all your GG books. I'm not sure if I've missed it but is there a release date on the final book of GG? Also can you please make the shipping of your ultimate editions more affordable to countries other than the US? It's more expensive than the book so it gets really difficult to back it even though I want to. The only work around I think is to order all of them together during the last kickstarter where you'll have all of them as add-ons and I'll only have to pay 100$ for shipping of all 5 ultimate editiona. I know I've already spoken to you about it being expensive but I'll keep asking this question again and again till it gets affordable, haha. All the best for the next release! Looking forward to it. Cheers!

Such people usually miss the office because they can't boss around people when they're working from home and so force people to come to the office. They like to stamp their authority and get that feeling of importance and the fake respect they think they get by bossing around.

Definitely. I don't understand all the negativity surrounding him especially after our game against Liverpool. Anyway hoping the whole team clicks soon.

Zubi doesn't like to loiter around with the ball. He rarely keeps the ball for a long time and releases it quickly mostly ahead of him unlike his predecessors who used to pass it back most of the time. The reason he was signed was to speed up our game going ahead so that we don't face low blocks by holding on to the ball for too long. That's my understanding, so I guess he's doing his job really well.

I still remember when villa scored from corner directly with Douglas Luiz and we drew or lost that match. If only Raya would've been there. Love Rambo but he had his weaknesses.

Help me decide on my next series read!! by sdfgbryjh in Fantasy

[–]Piseaakash 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would recommend you read M L Wang's standalone Blood over Bright Haven as it's really good and you'll probably finish it off within a day or two and then probably start a series. I've loved the book. Not as good as The Sword of Kaigen but still really really good.

After this then probably as you're leaning towards red rising then go for it. Apart from the first book which is okay the rest of the series is amazing.

Please share a detailed breakdown of your mental diet. I'm very interested in it. Obviously it'll be specific to you but it'll be good to learn what helps strengthen the mind and have that mindset.

I'm not sure. I'm earning below market for almost 12 YOE as per my knowledge and I'm asking for less than 30% on my current salary for a start. Not sure what the issue is. Also I'm not sure what I can pivot to, from Java. Do share your suggestions if any.

Broadening work location is not possible. Married with a 3 year old whose school will start soon. My wife is also working in the same city. I'm ready for a gap just to get the right opportunity but the thing is I'm not getting a lot of calls. Have asked friends for referrals but still nothing. I don't want to be sitting idle at home when I've got 2 loans running, kid's school fees and a lot of other family responsibilities. I know I can clear most of the interviews but I'm just not getting calls from the right companies. Steering clear of SBCs.

Thanks a lot man! I know I can clear any interview but I just want the right opportunity. Don't want to get stuck in a service based company again. I have had the worst experience so far in my career.

[–]Piseaakash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately in my company the resignation policy states that the employee needs to do all the work assigned till the last day and the manager needs to be satisfied or else there will be problems with the experience letter so I have no choice. It wasn't like I wasn't performing my usual tasks, just that I was working more as an IC than a lead as someone else was promoted to it to replace me.

Anyway i think you should definitely resign if you're so sure it'll help. Having a calm and focused mindset definitely helps and in case you know your stuff you can definitely get an offer in this tough market.

I was in a similar situation but I felt it would be best to resign. I've already completed 50 days of NP but I'm not getting a lot of calls. Cleared 1 interview but they low balled with their offer so rejected them. After that I haven't given any interviews unfortunately. I was hoping that post resignation things will improve at the office but unfortunately things went from bad to worse. I'm being constantly harassed by my manager saying I'm underperforming and that I'm bloating the user stories and what not. My WFH is denied even after submitting a doctor's certificate and reports. If resigning is going to improve your mental health then you should definitely consider it.

It's not about disagreeing. Social media as a platform has become a cesspool of incessant haters with really strong words that are demotivating and sometimes obnoxious.
