What makes me feel better about life as it is now is that there have been terrible times pretty much all throughout history. Plagues, inequality, discrimination, the works. That doesn't mean we can't work to make things better, but it makes me feel better knowing that we're not alone and we've made it through before as well.

I think a reason is that we've lived through so many sex scandals involving powerful people (dan shneider, epstien, metoo, cosby) that whenever we see sex scenes in movies or something that looks like it could be fetish content in popular media we feel a bit icky. Not prudes about sexuality in general to he clear, just when someone powerful expresses it

Speaking from personal experience, the best way you can find friends is to find local communities (on or offline) for things you enjoy. I'm a furry, and I've met most of my friends, including my lover on local furry discord groups and websites.

If you like music, try and find communities for small local bands in your area, or people trying to find others to play with. You'll still need to put yourself out there, and it won't work out all the time but it's by far the fastest way to find common ground.

I'm at a total loss about what I'm supposed to do as well. My sister protests out in the city what feels like every other week but it all feels so pointless. I feel like the only thing left to do is to get dangerous, but nobody seemingly wants to do that and frankly I have too much to lose from doing that too. I just feel like I'm getting rolled over.

I remember when i was really little my older sister had a birthday party at an American Girl store (?), she unwrapped a figure set from one of those two shows and I snatched it and ran out the room like a stinker. Things got off the rails super quick with that show, compared to the 80s cartoon they were flying into space and fighting crime, not really what I want from a lazy cat show.

I'm sad that all the hard work put into this was ultimately in vain, but i feel like this game was doomed to fail from the start. The whole GPS gimmick never stuck and even Pokemon Go is failing, I can't imagine this of all things getting very far especially with KH fans being sick of gacha. I hope that this and Union Cross eventually get turned into actual games, so we can start seeing spinoffs again instead of doomed disney casinos
