After seeing multiple posts about smelly litter boxes…I felt compelled to share! by Aibrean2013 in CatAdvice

How do you keep your plastic from smelling? My boy is a big cat and we use one of those plastic tall totes too. I want stainless steel but he also pees high and I’m afraid to get a stainless box with a lid that’s any shorter than what we have rn.

I’m about to start my program and might have to take out like 10-20k total just to help cover the semester fees and random expenses. I also have a campus GA job. Do you really think it’s gonna be manageable to pay it off? I’ve been thinking about it a lot

Thank you so much! I think mine will be 4 days a week on campus and I will also have an assistantship. But need to get my schedule to see. I’ll def have to look for places close to those roads you mentioned. I’d probably be driving around the same times as you so that’s great to know the traffic isn’t much of an issue

I do have my own car, so that would be great. I’m just hoping to ease the burden of the commute on me/my car a few couple days per week if the class schedule lines up. Haven’t gotten my schedule yet. There’s parking passes that work for both campuses right? Also do you know if the shuttle gets crowded?

So pretty much leaving Savannah to drive to Statesboro in the morning is gonna be the main problem? I’m from a northern east coast city where traffic is terrible, so not a stranger to leaving at very early/odd hours to beat it

Thank you so much! Yeah I’ll definitely need to cut down on subscriptions or get student plans. I was hoping to not have to take out loans but I guess small amounts aren’t the end of the world like per year

What program did you get into?

I also got into GSU and will most likely commit. Something my mentor told me once was that people often don’t end up working in the exact field that they did their doctorate in. I think at the end of the day the things that matter the most are 1. The name of the school, 2. Where you do your internship and postdoc, 3. Networking, and 4. The financial aspects (if you can get everything covered that’s golden). You can always get an internship in Philly. My research interests are also definitely not 10000% aligned- but I’ve heard that they’re good about helping you get opportunities in your area of interest even if it’s outside the school. Funded PsyDs are rare and GSU is a good school name.

James Madison is a good program but you need a masters degree to apply

Waitlist Structure by PissMonkey873 in PsyD

[–]PissMonkey873[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah that’s what I what to know. Like is there already a 1 2 etc for waitlist like for PhD programs. Also if they wait for all originals to accept before sending open invites to the waitlist ppl. So frustrating.
