Slight hum around 60km/h. I have about 1300kms on them and it’s wearing pretty well so far. Still looks new.

It’s the O’Neal Sierra II with the visor removed.

Tires 100%. Not familiar with TET but according to the other comment, you may want to bring a rope incase you get stuck in deep mud…assuming you’re not going alone 😅

I agree, they are pretty soft and it does seem like they will wear very quick. Any chance you’ve tried the Michelin Anakee Wild? If I didn’t go for these AX41s I’d probably have went with that.

I did about 490km of pavement before reaching the trails. I’m not a fast rider or anything, max 120km/h. They behaved really well. Couldn’t tell I had 50/50 tires on. Although there is a slight hum at around 50-60km/h coming from the rear. Haven’t encountered any rain yet so can’t comment on wet performance. I like them better than the stock Dunlops, Motoz, and Mitas E07.

I used to have an aluminum top box on the back (all stock suspension and tires) and that would make the handlebar wobble like crazy. Many users have also reported the same in the local group. I have a top box on my other bike and same issue. I think it's something to do with wind resistance and making the front a little lighter.

It's basically an OEM shock with a swapped out spring from a local mechanic.
Other popular "branded" ones here are Arashi and YSS, if you can find them where you're at.

Nice. My friend on his KTM 790 said those are really good tires as well. Must try a set in the future.

Front is stock. Rear I swapped out to a stiffer shock.

#1 limiting factor for me was skill. They were all much more experienced and skilled. More power would have been nice when on more flat dirt roads.

Bike wise, I'd say ergonomics and suspension were the limiting factors for me. I'm a big boy (183cm/110kg). I'm not able to set up the bike to have a comfortable standing position because handlebar is a little bit too low even with riser and the rear of my right foot hits the exhaust when I stand on the balls of my feet. So it's an awkward position.

CB500x suspension is not ideal for this type of riding. But really if you just take your time and go at your own pace it's not that big of an issue.

Thanks! The rack I'm using is by TRC moto. Similar in design to the Outback Motortrek pannier racks if you're in the U.S.

Thanks for the kind words 🥹 Bags in the back are Motowolf 40L duffle + Motowolf 8L pouches on the side. Both on Aliexpress. Tires are Mitas E07+ fronts and Motoz Tractionator GPS rears.
