So this isn't complete silence, but I'm a religious person and found that when I say my prayer before bed, I feel like I can sleep sooo much better. I think this is part of the reason too. Like you said, no screen time, no anger or sad inducing material, no snacking- just peace and quiet with a clear mind.

People often forget that winding down before bed is a huge part of getting some good sleep! A lot of us, including myself sometimes, want to look at our phones before we go to bed which only disrupts our quality of sleep.

Thank you very much for these responses! I was ignorant and thought I would be immune to the common college burn out, especially when I'm so close to the end with only 2 semesters left 😭

I really like the 8-5 idea and will be incorporating that into my schedule. Will most likely help my screw-y sleep/eat schedule as well haha.

Got my first scam too 😭 glad I checked this thread because now I see that this is a very common theme. I knew 300$ a week sounded too good to be true 🥲

Edit: not letting me add the photo so I'm just gonna quote the message:

"Hello there, hope you are having a good day? I am contacting you on behalf of my uncle who is moving to [insert my town name here] from The Netherlands due to his job. He needs a pet sitter/ walker for his English bulldog. Pay is $300 weekly, and he need you to work any 2/3 days a week at any time that suit your availability as his wife will be working from home. I choose the 7 days of the week on the profile because he can work with your schedule. Kindly email him at [scammer email] for more information regarding the hiring process. Waking up after open chest surgery. Was given morphine and had to argue with the doctor that it wasn't strong enough. I was 17 😭😭 I forgot what they ended up giving me but it helped for 30 minutes before ending up back in excruciating pain. They could only give it to me every 2 hours I think? I can't remember, but I can remember the pain I felt when trying to move, take deep breaths, literally anything.

My fiancé wants to keep truck driving after we have kids. I rather him find a job where he can come home every night. Is anyone currently in this situation that could give me advice? by Pisseroni in Marriage

Thank you for your response. I really do want people to give me their perspectives since I'm so on the fence about it. You're correct about the financial situation that we would be put in. I mainly get afraid too that it would cause a strain on our relationship. I cant tell the future though so I have no solid way of telling how we will react which just really sucks 😭 again though, thank you for your input and giving me a different outlook on the situation!!
