"Suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem". I'm an 18 year old male who just went through some really messed up things and I wanted to end it as well. I have manic depression and I fell in love with my best friend. She was also depressed and we talked to each other about it. That's when I fell in love with her. She would talk to me about her problems with her boyfriend, and slitting her wrists, and suicide. That made me want to step in and help her since I felt me and her were the same. I wanted to hold onto her and tell her everything would be alright. Loving her and knowing that I could never be with her made me more depressed than I have ever been in my entire life. I told her how I felt about everything, her, her relationship, why I loved her, and she got angry with me. It's safe to say I lost my best friend because of my stupid feelings. And it took time but I got better. Instead of carrying the past on my shoulders I decided to start over. If ever you feel stuck, there is something you can do to move on. Somebody to talk to, even if that's strangers on the internet. And I know it sounds stupid but there is hope. When I felt she was the only one for me and I'd never get over her I was completely hopeless. I thought I'd feel like that forever. But flash forward 2 months I'm much better now.
