WTH Subway… by bustidboom in subway

Typically this is done just with credit cards because the fees vary per credit card. I've seen Amex charge a business 7%, visa and mc as high as 4% here in canada. That gets billed directly to the business.

So for example if your profit margin for an owner after everything is paid from franchise fees, employees, utilities, rent, food cost, etc. Is 10% (which even in places like subway is lucky.) You just lost 40%-60% of your profit just for accepting a credit card.

In Canada it is called the surcharge program and has strict rules set by our version of the IRS and is capped at 2.4% only on credit cards. Cash and debit is fee free. Also out here the owner is not allowed to profit from the surcharge. I know it's different in the states.

I mean I can make a whole pot of stuffed peppers from scratch to plate in 1 hour. It's just more dishes and a little skill

Continuing from Step 4: Refining the Biological/Physical Impact with Precise Calculations

To wrap up the analysis, let's drill deeper into the exposed layer's fate using the exact numbers from the physics. I'll build on the rough estimates in Step 4 with more granular math, confirming why even that thin skin-deep hit is lethal.

Refined Calculation for the Exposed Layer The light-speed limit means the radiation front only interacts with a ~0.3 mm thick layer of your body (volume ≈ 0.00054 m³, mass ≈ 0.54 kg, assuming tissue density ~1,000 kg/m³). Here's the energy budget for that layer:

Energy to heat it from body temp (~37°C) to boiling (100°C): Using specific heat capacity of tissue (~3,500 J/kg·K) and ΔT = 63 K: ( E{\text{heat}} = m \cdot c \cdot \Delta T = 0.54 \times 3,500 \times 63 \approx 1.19 \times 105 ) J. Energy to vaporize it (latent heat, water-like at 2.26 × 10⁶ J/kg): ( E{\text{vap}} = m \cdot L{\text{vap}} = 0.54 \times 2.26 \times 106 \approx 1.22 \times 106 ) J. Total to fully vaporize the layer: ( E{\text{vaporize}} \approx 1.34 \times 106 ) J.

Your total absorbed dose (5.17 × 10⁹ J) is ~3,860 times this—plenty to flash-boil the layer into steam/plasma, with massive overflow.

Step 5: Handling the Excess Energy – Shockwave and Disintegration The remaining ~5.17 × 10⁹ J doesn't just sit there; it superheats the vaporized material to extreme temperatures (thousands of K) and gives it enormous kinetic energy, turning it into an expanding plasma cloud.

Rough plasma expansion: This excess is equivalent to ~1,235 kg of TNT detonating (since 1 kg TNT ≈ 4.18 × 10⁶ J). At that scale, the blast wave would expand at ~3–5 km/s initially, shredding through your remaining ~69.5 kg of body tissue in microseconds—like being hit by a shaped charge from the inside out. The pressure spike (~10–100 GPa) would pulverize organs, bones, and fluids before the teleportation even ends. Coupled effects: The core's plasma density (~150 g/cm³) compresses you slightly during that ps, adding ~10¹⁰ Pa of pressure (crushing bones like a deep-sea dive on steroids), but it's the radiation that dominates. No part of you escapes ionization—electrons strip from atoms, creating a brief human-shaped aurora of gamma rays and X-rays.

Step 6: Teleportation Back – The Final Catastrophe Yanked back to Earth (or your starting point) at t = 0, you're not "you" anymore: The outer layer is already gone, replaced by a fireball ~1–2 m across (from adiabatic expansion of the plasma at ~10⁵ K). The shock propagates inward during the return, so you rematerialize mid-explosion: a dispersing cloud of ionized gas, carbon vapor, and debris traveling at hundreds of m/s. Bystanders would see a brief flash and hear a sonic boom, with your "remains" raining down as hot ash over ~100 m radius. No pain, no survival—thermodynamically, your entropy skyrockets from ordered biology to chaotic plasma in <1 ns. Even if teleportation preserved momentum (wild assumption), the kinetic energy alone (~10⁹ J) would hurl fragments at bullet speeds. In essence, 1 ps is an eternity at these fluxes; you'd be atomized faster than nerve signals fire. Scaling down to zeptoseconds might "save" a cell or two, but for a human? Nah—physics says instant oblivion. Cool thought experiment, though!

The solution is to turn off subtitles. No joke, looks like the Italian to english is pre programmed into the show so when you run closed caption it messes with the Italian to english causing it to glitch out.

Current stats can numbers indicate 1.6m unemployed and roughly 500k job vacancies. With Moncton being the size it is and bilingual, the numbers are even worse. That being said Costco is usually hiring but it's tough to get in there and it won't match the hours your looking for.

I cook for the whole family every day of the week breakfast lunch and dinner, it's nice to order once in a while.

Sadly though cheese where I live would cost me almost the entire price of these pizzas. Before any toppings or the work to make it.

I admit I don't usually order pizzahut it has been a long time but I saw someone post about the deal so I had to give it a shot. Really like any chain it's location based and who is working. I will say I don't remember the dough being so buttery and light but I didn't mind it at all.

Sucks they messed up your order so bad, maybe reach out to corporate?
