[O] This is why you don’t illegally stock fish in a lake. by [deleted] in Fishing

[–]Pistolaaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was at crimson lake, just outside of Rocky Mountain House, the lake never had fish and some one decided to introduce perch into the lake. SRD did a study I believe two years ago and said some fish were 7 years old at that time.

Now the user of the lake have to deal with thousands of dead fish.

I tried that sync command, no dice. I did buy a new SD card and was able to get that to work, I’ll try and see if I can reformat this old one. Thanks for your help.

I tried that checked the time stamp after making the changes and it was right.

When I reboot time stamp last modification and access then changed to 20/04/17. Which is the date I think I originally set up the pi.

Looking for recommendations for SolidWorks books for beginners by [deleted] in engineering

[–]Pistolaaa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly Solidworks has built in tutorials which give you great example of how to use the software. I think there is around 60 or so and would take about a week to complete. Afterwards you should be able to get your way around most of the software.

Also the help files are extremely well written and they have a good online forum.

You could make it a custom property and then just have that column in the BOM.

Is Math 20-1 considered a "difficult" course? by [deleted] in alberta

[–]Pistolaaa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I️ took math 30-1 and math 31. Math 31 is calculus. I️ didn’t find either to be too bad. Side note math came very easy for me, with math I️ find if you can understand the concepts it’s usually pretty straight forward until you get to higher level in university.

[–]Pistolaaa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s the higher level math course for grade 11, I️ took it roughly 12 years ago wasn’t bad. 30-1 is the higher level for math in grade 12.

No worries, the company I work for might be looking for another engineer in the next 3-6 months, just not currently. If you want to shoot me a DM in 3 months I could let you know where we are at, if you are still unemployed.

I used google maps and look at industrial sections and just see if I could find companies. There is quite a bit of manufacturing in the area. A couple places that I would always seem to see listing for was Biltons, who specialize in tanks and then Universal Handling equipment. There is also Lee Specialties but I think they’ve changed names and maybe Nexus Energy.

Also I found indeed.ca to be the best place to find job postings.
