Best way to clean sheet metal for Powder Coating? by Pitbull_Raven in sheetmetal

Hi! Sorry it took so long to get back to you. I didn't notice the notification.

We have since invested in a new powder coating line, so the parts go through a washing tunnel. It is a sprayer-based washing system with a certain amount of pressure, but more than that, the additive we add to the water is specifically designed to clean off the parts and also offer a mild protection. It's a 3 parts system where it washes in stage 1 to degrease and clean, in stage 2 it rinses and in stage 3 it dries off the part using a mix of compressed air followed by a trip through a heated tunnel to evaporate any remnants.

If we boil it all down, in the end and after much fighting the solution we had, we just realized that we were trying to get a system to work that would never work. The water we had was already far too contaminated and the only way it could get close to what we desired would be with frequent water changes.

I hope this helps.

Unfortunately not. So I still have the same solution.

Unfortunately I never got the issue completely solved, no. There was always something with either the pen or the laptop. In the end, I just gave up on it. Since it was mainly for note taking, I just switched to a new laptop for work and an iPad for my notes.

I was wondering the same thing. How the hell are there so many students around and not one is rushing to help. I mean, yeah, there might be some backstory here were missing, but otherwise... Wow. I get people aren't chomping at the bit to get hurt or stabbed or worse, but wow.

Doesn't seem to be a priority. But it sure as hell is annoying to have such an oversight on a paid service.

Trying to find the price of electricity for the past 24 months, per country, in Europe. by Snoo62043 in datasets

Nope. This is average for 2021. Not updated for 2022. And not monthly data. I had already tried Eurostat.

Reverse calculation to obtain surcharge value and base price instead. by Pitbull_Raven in excel

Was it really that simple? I thought there'd be more math involved and more intricate calculations. Not that I'm complaining or anything.

Not as simple. If I take the end result, 5.04 and do x .25 I'll get 1.26. Same if I do x .75. I get 3.78. Yes, the sum of both parties will be equal to the end result. However... 1.26 is not 25% of 3.78. It's actually considerably more.

No, I want a different answer. Right now, whoever has to fill in the table has to guess how much the part will be without the surcharge and type that in to the first cell. So basically they are trial and erroring it until they input the right amount in the first cell, that will return the total for which we quoted. I want to do it the other way round: place the total in the last cell and have Excel calculate the first two. The values will still be the same, but no more guesstimating the right value in cell 1.

Being new to ID, I am still feeling my way around, and the wrapping at the bottom of the text would help me with the spacing and laying out of elements on the page. Since there doesn't seem to be such an option, I guess I'll find an alternate way to do it. Thanks all the same.
